Diaper Fold Creations

Tomorrow morning I will be showing this technique--the diaper fold pouch/basket. It is really easy to do and you can find instructions over at SCS.

This above card shows a pouch made with a 3in sqare piece of 2-sided DP.

This green basket was made with a 6 in. square piece of 2 sided DP--For this card the flowers pull out to reveal the sentiment.

This large basket was made using a 12 x 12 piece of 2-sided DP. I decorated the front of it and filled it with choc. chip bars for one of the girls who will be here tomorrow and just had a birthday.

2 challenges in 1!!

Today I combined Monday's Mojo sketch challenge from Verve and SCS Ways to use it challenge to make my card. I love this card because it brings back memories of our hot air balloon ride over New Mexico this summer. Even though I am afraid of heights I found this experience to be very calming and relaxing!! I so loved it!! I has always been a dream of mine to do this and I am so glad I got the chance!!

My colors match the balloon that we rode in: Briallant Blue, Real Red, YoYo Yellow, and Golrious Green. I added star bards, ribbon, and buttons as my embellishments. The stamps used on this card are from Verve. For the ways to use it part of the challenge I used a mini paper clip--the challenge called for us to use something from the office--every office has paperclips!!

2 new cards using the new embossing folder...

I am having so much fun using my new embossing folder from Stampin Up!! The new catalog has 2 new folders and both of them are great!!

For this card, I used the color challenge from over at SCS. The color combo was Certainly Celery, Pixie Pink, and Apricot Appeal. My first thought was to use flowers but then I saw this stamp set on the shelf and thought about how much I love spring--even though it is long gone!!
For this card I used the new embossing folder but fliped it so that the embossing is recessed instead of raised. I like that look as well. This card was made for the CAS challenge over at SCS. CAS stands for clean and simple--I think this card fits that perfectly.

Vroom, Vroom, Vroom......

Today, over at Spiltcoast Stampers, we were suppose to create a card that involved something with an engine. I was coming up blank because I have not stamps like that....do I need to do some shopping??? Anyway I looked throught he gallery (there were not many post yet) and found a card that gave me some inspiration--"Biggan" had made a card using a toy airplane!! That got me thinking about the toy things I might have that would have an engine--which led me to a retired simply scrappin set from Stampin Up! So here you have it!! Rollercosters definately have an engine and they may everyone who get on get all revved up inside!! I hope you all find something to celebrate today!!

Here is another one that I did for today--just had to come back and add it in for you all to see...

Back home and stamping......Mojo Monday #96

We are finally home after a fantastic family vaction out west. We had such a good time together as a family. We visited several National Parks, went whitewater rafting, and finished off the trip with a hot air balloon ride over Albuquerque, New Mexico. What a great time of making memories!! I am glad to be home and anxious to get back into stampin!! To start it off I created a card for this weeks Mojo Monday Challenge.

Here is my card:
I used 2 of Stampin Up!'s new incolors for this year--Dusty Durango and Soft Suede!! Loving those two coloring together!! The stamps are new from Verve--I actually won them at their last new release party--YEAH!! The trio of panels that makes up the back ground was created using wax paper and the Soft Suede ink. I added some green to the grass with my green glitter pen--can't see the effects in the photo but it does really add alot. The sun is created with a sponge dauber and the Dusty Durango ink pad. I finished off my card by highlighting a bird in flight and adding a ribbon. Thanks for stopping by and having a look!!

I am hoping to be back to added to my blog each day but getting back into the swing of things has been a challenge. 18 day away really messes with your world--but it was so worth!!
