Color Throwdown Challenge #627 & Freshly Made Sketches #470

Today's card was inspired by two challenges...

Color Throwdown // #CTD627 ...A color challenge!!  This week the trio of colors given for this challenge was Navy, Pink, and Gray!!  I used Night of Navy, Blushing Bride, and Smokey Slate from Stampin Up.  These colors made me think of the ocean--so the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set was what came off my shelf.

Freshly Made Sketches // #FMS470 ...A sketch challenge!!  This simple sketch was super fun to work with!!  So many possibilities!  A cluster of seashells seemed perfect for each corner!!

Verse of the Day:

Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established.

PROVERBS 16:3 (ESV)

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #404 // Global Design Project #276

 Two cards for two challenges...

CAS Colours & Sketches // #CC&S404 ...A sketch challenge!  I thought this sketch worked perfect for a little berry patch!!  I think normally I would have right away seen it as a good aquatic sketch but I had the Berry Blessing set on my mind!!  I have had so much fun playing with this new set from Stampin Up's Sale-a-bration set.

Global Design Project // #GDP276 ...A CASE challenge!! Copy and selectively edit a card from another designer...this week our challenge is to CASE Connie Collins.  I love her card!!  Here is what inspired my card....embossing and die cut background//layered foreground//hello die cut sentiment in the lower right hand corner.  Instead of flowers I used Stampin Up's new Friends Are Like Seashells bundle.

Verse of the Day:

“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.

As You See It Challenge #242 & The Spot Challenge #147

 Two challenges inspired today's card...

As You See It // #AYSI242 ...A sketch challenge!  This sketch was perfect for showcasing Stampin Up's Treasures Of Life stamp set that is in their new mini catalog.  I love this set but every time I make a card using it I really miss my grand daughter that is living hundreds of miles away!!  Lucky for me her parents are great at sending photos and videos.

The Spot // #147 ...A theme challenge! Get You Your Heart On!  Again...this stamp set!! Gets my heart on!!

Verse of the Day:

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

PSALM 139:13-14 (ESV)

Just Us Girls Challenge #568 // TGIF Challenge #300 // The Paper Players Challenge #525

3 Cards // 3 Challenges (no combining today!!)

Just Us Girls // #JUG586 ...A photo challenge!  I love the lite up sky line in the photo...the burst of yellows against the night sky.  I sponged a night sky and then embossed "stars" in silver.  I love how it turned out!!! And this sentiment from Stampin Up's High Tide stamp set is perfect for this challenge...just a little light is all that is needed on a dark night!!

TGIF Challenge // #tgifc300 ...An inspiration challenge!!  The current challenge for us is to gather our inspiration from the Stampin Up catalog.  I chose the card on page 120 where they are showcasing the Birds and Branches bundle.  Even though I have made lots of cards using this set I have never made one like this...thanks for the inspiration!!  This set made me think of my MIL...she loves birds and I regularly gift her with cards (she is gifted at sending letters and cards) so this set was a must have!!

The Paper Players // #PP525 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch is perfect for showcasing my new Berry Blessings Sale-A-Bration stamp set from Stampin Up.  I just love this set and the matching designer papers!

Verse of the Day:

Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory! Selah

Fab Friday Challenge #205 // Inspired By Challenge #158 // Time Out Challenge #179

 Three challenges inspired today's card...

Fab Friday // #205 ...A sketch challenge!  Layered rectangles...perfect for showcasing just about any stamp set.  I decided to use Stampin Up's new Treasures of Life set.

Inspired By // #IB158 ...An inspiration challenge!  I pulled the gingham and the heart theme from this inspiration photo.  The little "I love you" heart in the little hand seemed perfect for this challenge.

Time Out // #179 ...A theme challenge!!  The theme...YOU!!  Here is what they were looking for...."We want to know more about you-show us in form of a card!-this could be your favorite card making style, what food you love, your job, what your hobbies are, what books you like...the list goes on!"  So...this new stamp set from Stampin Up best describes me....2020 made me a grandma...Grammie!!  My daughter and her husband gave us our first grandchild...what a blessing!!

Verse of the Day:

God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

New Challenge from Cardz 4 Guyz // Tic Tac Toe Challenge #097 // Just Add Ink Challenge #538

New Challenge for Cardz 4 Guyz...

Today begins a new challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz.  Our current challenge is "sports".  Any sport works...you pick! Just make sure it is a masculine card.  The masculine portion of this challenge should be easy since most guys love sports!  So hop on over to Cardz 4 Guyz and play along with our new challenge!!  I was a soccer mom for many years and loved watching my kids play and my hubby coach!!

Two Challenges inspired this card...

Tic Tac Toe // #TTTC097 ...A game challenge!  My winning three in a row for this game challenge ran across the top of the board...Flowers//Twine//Pink.

Just Add Ink // #JAI538 ...A sketch challenge.  I love a sketch that is simple and yet eye catching...the type that will get used over and over.

Verse of the Day:

As we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Color Throwdown Challenge #626 // The Library Challenge #75 // Freshly Made Sketches #469

 Three challenges inspired today's card...

Color Throwdown // #CTD626 ...A color challenge!  Plum, Cream, and Black...these were the colors for this weeks challenge.  I used Stampin Up's Blackberry Bliss, Very Vanilla, and Basic Black.  My vase was made with two of Stampin Up's retired punches...the oval punch and the ribbon slot punch.

The Library Challenge // #75 ...A book challenge!  For each challenge we are given a book to inspired our card.  We are to gather our inspiration for the cover, the story, or the title.  The embossing folder that I used for thee background reminded me of the foliage on this cover...also the colors.

Freshly Made Sketches // #FMS469 ...A sketch challenge!  This sketch has so any possibilities...it was fun seeing all the different interpretations.  I am sure this sketch will be one that I will use again!!

Verse of the Day:

“Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Three challenges inspired two cards...

1st card was inspired by two challenges...

Global Design Project // #GDP275 ...A theme challenge!! LOVE!! Yep, with Valentines right around the corner...love is definitely in the air!!

Try Stampin On Tuesday // #TSOT490 ...A sketch challenge!!  This simple sketch was perfect for creating this sweet you and me card!  Donna Scholz suggested that this card should also be enterrd in the Double Trouble Paper Crafting challenge. Because my sentiment works for the song You & Me Against the World and I used the Try Stampin on  Tuesday sketch!!  So I think I will add that challenge as well!!

2nd card was inspired by one single challenge...

Paper Craft Crew Challenge // #PCCC410 ...A sketch challenge!! Another fun sketch from the Paper Craft Crew...lots of pieces and parts and yet simple!  I  am such a fan of their sketches!!

Try Stampin On Tuesday Challenge #489

 A single card // A single challenge...

This card was created for the Try Stampin On Tuesday challenge. ( #TSOT489 )  The challenge was to use the sketch and they asked us to also create the sketch with dies.  I used a circle die, scalloped edge die, and a flourish die...three different dies!!  I let the flourish die layer black on black outside of the white circle...very elegant in person even though you can't really see it in this photo.

Verse of the Day:

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

JEREMIAH 29:11 (ESV)
