The Paper Players // #PP610 ...A sketch challenge!!  A fun sketch for layering up some designer papers.  I had these nautical papers from years ago and decided today was a good day to put them to good use.

Retro Rubber Challenge // #rrcb192 ...A game board challenge!!  My winning 3 in a row are nautical, patterned paper and blue!!  Oh and as always with this challenge stamps must be over a year old...I used Stampin Up's Sailing Home bundle that came out in 2019 and my designer papers are older than that by a couple of years!!

Hello Fall

Global Design Project // #GDP362 ...A sketch challenge!!  When I saw this sketch, I immediately thought of falling leaves!!  

Just Us Girls //#JUG651 ...A photo challenge!!  Dark rich fall colors, that was my inspiration from this photo...oh and leaves!!

Retro Rubber Challenge // #rrcb192 ...A tic-tac-toe challenge!!  My winning three in a row on this game board...one word, patterned paper, and punch/die.  And as always with this challenge we are asked to use a stamp that is over a year old...these leaves are from the Beautiful Autumn set from Stampin Up that came out in 2020!!

As You See It // #AYSI284 ...A sketch challenge!!  They called it a pendulum sketch and I really wanted to run with that theme as well but I just couldn't come up with anything so you just got berries!! LOL

TicTacToe Challenge // #tttc180 ...A game board challenge!!  My winning 3 in a row on this game board run across the bottom.  Foliage, Plaid, Berries for the win!!

TGIF Challenges // #tgifc387 ...A technique challenge!!  Cut it Out!!  I did just that with all the berries that I added to my foliage!! I really needed my snippers for cutting out those little ones but alas they can't be found...hidden somewhere in my crafting mess!!

Keep Florida in your prayers!!  It looks like our area will just have some wind and rain but I am praying for those south of us!!  Around this time of year 4 years ago we weathered Michael and its aftermath, so we are all a little on edge!!

New Challenge @ Shopping Our Stash

 Today begins a new challenge at...

Shopping Our Stash // #SOS480 ...A theme challenge!!  Time to shop your stash and play along with our new challenge...Leaf Me Alone!!  I pulled out my Tim Holtz stamp and die and went to work creating.  I stamped the leaf on Pumpkin Pie card stock but then covered it with washi tape before cutting it out with its matching die.  The design team has a great variety of inspiration so hop on over there and check out their creation and then play along with us...we can't wait to see your interpretation of our Leaf Me Alone challenge!!

Sketch~N~Scrap Challenge // #226 ...A sketch challenge!!  Zoom in on my card and you will see I hand stitched the chervon element over my washi tape.  I used the large die cut leaf in place of a tag.  Such a fun sketch...thanks for the inspiration!!

Make the Cards // #64 ...A technique challenge!!  Use washi tape on your card.  I used tape at 2 places...on the leaf and down the side of my designer papers.  I love this roll of washi tape and the vintage feel it creates!!

Just Us Girls // #JUG651 ...A photo challenge!!  It is that time of year...all kinds of challenges with fall leaves and the changing of colors.  Has me in the mood for bonfires, pumpkin lattes, and cooler weather!!

Festive Friday Challenge // #FF0118 ...An inspo list challenge!!  The way this challenge works...we are given a inspo list of 10 elements and our challenge is to use three of the 10 on our card.  This current list is in honor of World's Space Week.  I used stars (star sentiment, dies, and stencil), brads (star brads), and ink blending (on the edges of two stars and with my star stencils).  Happy World's Space Week!!

Try Stampin On Tuesday // #TSOT574 ...A sketch challenge!!  With a twist, the twist for this current challenge is to use a stencil.  I picked a star stencil that I rarely use...thanks for inspiring me to pull it out of the cabinet!!

Sisters Soaking Up the Sun

 

This weekend my sister and I met half way between our homes for a little getaway to celebrate our birthdays (mine in Aug and hers in 4 days).  We have had a great time in Cedar Key, FL...we have eaten our share of the local clams, walked on all the trails, taken a boat ride to an island that is only inhabited by mosquitoes, and chatted like to girls who haven't seen each other in a while!!  What a great weekend with my sweet sister!!

So, I made a card for today before I left home for this fun weekend and here is it....

Hand Stamped Sentiments // #HSS398 ...A sketch challenge!!  Like Leah on the design team, I flipped the sketch.  My get well sentiment was too long to fit the other way.  I do wish I would have re-cut my circle because it ended up being too small.

TGIF Challenges // #tgifc387 ...A technique challenge!!  CUT IT OUT!!  I did just that and hand cut my elephant and my sentiment!!

Cupcake Inspirations // #CI552 ...A cupcake inspired challenge!!  The cupcake photo for this current challenge gives us a safari animal theme.  I picked an elephant for my card!!

Freshly Made Sketches // #FMS554 ...A sketch challenge!!  A clean and simple sketch that has endless possibilities!!  This sketch was perfect for a get well card that I needed for a friend who just had surgery.

Color Throwdown // #ctd711 ...A color challenge!!  The color combo for this current challenge is blue, brown, yellow, and green.  I used Stampin Up's Pacific Point, Early Espresso, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive.

Just Add Ink // #JAI622 ...A "choose two" challenge!!  Of the three given elements, choose two and include them in your creation.  For my card, I chose masking and foliage...I masked my flowers and edges to create my foliage!!
