As You See It Challenge #212

Today's challenge from As You See It was a speed stamping challenge...create a card in under 10 minutes!!  This single layer card took just under 7 minutes.  Only two ink pads, one set of stamps, one layer of paper, and a trio of rhinestones...quick and simple!!  As You See It also gave a inspiration photo to get your creative juices flowing...their "shades of blue" made me think of water, out came my Seaside notions stamp set from Stampin Up.

Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts overjoyed...The bonding that has taken place in our small group!!  Enjoying the rain that has fallen over the last couple of days...we so needed it!!  Overjoyed that our daughter and husband will get to be here over Thanksgiving!!

  1. Oh yes! This is lovely! I agree that water was a great place to start for this card. I'm a sucker for a sponged, inked panel like this and the choice of stamp set was perfect for it. The rhinestones are just the perfect accompaniment for it. Thanks for playing along with us again at As You See It Challenge.

  2. DJ this was the perfect set for a speed challenge - and the colour blue too! I love the layering of your images over the sponged panel - really effective and glad you found time for a little bling too! Thanks for taking on our speed challenge over at As You See It this week!

  3. Great job, dj, and so quickly, too! It looks so professional though, so no one would guess that it took under 7 minutes to complete! Thanks for getting your adrenaline running with our speed challenge at As You See It Challenges.
