New Challenge @ Shopping Our Stash

 Today begins a new challenge...

Shopping Our Stash // #SOS475 ...WTHeck Embellishments!!  That is the theme for our new challenge that begins today.  So...what do you have in your stash that you look at and shake your head and think...
What in the heck??
Why did I buy these??
Why do I have so many of them??
How can I use them??

For me...wood burnt flowers!!  I have a ton of them!!  I do remember thinking when I saw them and bought them that they would look cute on cards.

Here I am almost 8 years later with a container full of them...well...three less after today's card.  I can't wait to see what items you have tucked away that makes you shake your head and wonder "what was I thinking?"  For additional inspiration from the SOS design team hop over to our blog...they have also uncovered some interesting treasures.

My card was also inspired by a 2nd challenge...

Cupcake Inspirations // #CI548 ...A cupcake inspired challenge!!  Let the cupcakes in the photograph inspire you...the colors...poppy, rose, and olive.  I used Stampin Up's Poppy Parade, Old Olive, and Flirty Flamingo.

Card #2 inspired by two challenges...

Just Add Ink // #JAI612 ...A "choose two" challenge!!  Of the three items given...choose two!!  The three items are fur, clouds, or stitching.  I picked clouds (dies and designer paper) and stitching (black stitched diagonal line).

Make the Cards // #59 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch was perfect for pairing up with my clouds and stitching from Just Add Ink's challenge.

  1. This is a great challenge to use up all those embellishments we've stashed away for so long! Those wood flowers really do look great on this card, but they're not cost-effective for mailing! I love this fun design for using them!

  4. Cute flowers and the sort of thing I would buy too, without any idea of what to do with them. Great layout, simple but pretty. x
