New Challenge @ Shopping Our Stash #SOS564

 

Today begins a new challenge at...

Shopping Our Stash // #SOS564 ...A "shop your stash" challenge with a theme!!  The theme for this current challenge is: FREE IS GOOD!!  The challenge...use something you got for free. Think: an RAK from a friend, a freebie included with an order, something you got as a door prize at a crafty event, something gifted to you because people think you can use just about anything on a card...you know...free!

    
I am using this stencil that was a prize won for one of my card.  I love these dainty sunflowers...they make a gorgeous garden scene.

Allsorts Challenge // #AC839 ...An "anything goes" challenge with an optional twist!!  The optional twist for this current challenge is to "create a scene".  I used this stencil that I won for creating in a little sunflower garden scene (sorry not sure which company it is from).  My blending tool is from Altnew (also a prize that came along with the stencil) and my inks are from Stampin Up.

Never Before Used Schtuff // #NBUS81 ...The NBUS blog doesn't give challenges but offers a great place to show off those items that have never been used...whether they are brand new or items that you have had for a while but haven't gotten around to using. Today I am using a stencil for the very first time...one that I won as a prize for one of my card entries.

Inspired By Challenges // #IB368 ...An "inspiration photo" challenge with an optional sketch!!  I used both the photo and the sketch for today's card.  Inspired by...New Years!!  My inspiration: the black, the shimmer, and the squares.  Happy New Years!!

Just Add Ink // #JAI776 ...A "choose two" challenge!!  The challenge, of the 6 elements given, choose 2 of them to use on your card!!  I picked: stripes and shimmer.  

Today's card doesn't have a sentiment on the front...once I decide how it will be used I will add it to the inside.  I feel like it would make a nice wedding card or maybe a masculine valentine...what do you think??

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge // #AHSC661 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch was the starting point for today's card.  It worked perfectly for showcasing these other challenges as well.

Can You Handle The Pressure // 27DEC25 ...An embossing challenge with an optional twist!!  The optional twist for this current challenge is WINTER BLUES.  A garden cottage, with some falling snowing, in Night Of Navy...yes...WINTER BLUES!!

Ellibelle's Garden Party // #10 ...An "in the garden" challenge!!  Leaves are found in a garden...how about a garden cottage...oh and snowflakes are found in the garden during winter...right?!?

Never Before Used Schtuff // #NBUS81 ...The NBUS blog doesn't give challenges but offers a great place to show off those items that have never been used...whether they are brand new or items that you have had for a while but haven't gotten around to using. Today I am using a Stampin Up stamp set (AUTUMN SPLENDOR) that I picked up at a thrift store this week...it is a wooden red rubber set that was never put together...so brand new, never been used!!  Oh...and I got it for $3...yippie!!

TGIF Challenges // #tgifc557 ...An inspiration challenge!!  Let these northern lights inspired your card.  I love the blending of colors here and it made me pull out some watercolor paper and paint brushes.

Allsorts Challenge // #AC839 ...An "anything goes" challenge with an optional twist!!  The optional twist for this current challenge...create a scene!!  How about a horizon scene, complete with birds, moon, and water!?!  I used Stampin Up inks and watercolor paper for creating my scene.  The circle die I ordered from ErinLee Creative.

Can You Handle The Pressure // 27DEC25 ...An embossing challenge with an optional twist!!  WINTER BLUES is the optional twist for this current challenge.  I decided to use the winter blue option and watercolored a horizon scene in a mix of blues.

Addicted to Stamps & More // #ATS&M507 ...A theme challenge!!  CHRISTMAS is the theme for this current challenge.  I love these vintage Christmas papers.

{PIN}spirational Challenges // #PC332 ...A monthly Pinterest inspired challenge!!  For the month of December we had a cozy living-room scene as our inspiration.  I think that couch would be the perfect spot to curl up with a hot cup of coffee!!

Today I am using a Christmas present from my hubby ...Tim Holtz Coffee Cup Dies.  There are 5 different coffee cups...Yesterday I used one for the first time and today I used a second one for the first time...3 more to go!!

Inspired By // #IB367 ...A "photo inspired" challenge!!  In this photo we are inspired by GINGERBREAD!!  My inspiraiton for today's card...the brown color and the mug of hot yumminess!!

TGIF Challenges // #tgif556 ...A theme challenge!!  The theme of this challenge is HOLIDAY TREATS!!  I love all the seasonal flavors that come out during the holidays at our local coffee shop.  This weekend I had a Gingerbread Man Mocha...yes it was all kinds of yummy!!
