Best Catch Ever....

Today I am playing along with the sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches.  I used Stamping Up's Best Catch stamp set with matching dies.  There are so many possibilities with this bundle.  Masculine cards are often difficult to create but this stamp set and matching dies has made it easy!!

Amazing!!//Fishing worms...I don't care for them but my hubby and daughter think they are kinda great!!

Her Children Arise and Call Her Blessed...

Another Mother's Day card made for the Paper Players challenge....to create a clean and simple card using the paper piecing technique.  Today I used Stampin Up's Beautiful You stamp set and some of their designer papers, along with a sentiment stamp from Verve to create my card.  I think this technique is super fun and creates such a eye catching look!!  While this is a fun technique you sure don't want to use it when mass producing cards...too time consuming!!  See the instructions below for this technique.

3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts)  3 gifts fragile...our kids heart--lead them gently//grandma's crystal serving dishes//our government--remember to pray for our nations leadership

Paper Piecing Technique

  1. Step 1

    Stamp image on cardstock.

    Step 2

Stamp same image onto patterned paper.

    Step 3

Cut image pieces out of patterned paper.

    Step 4

Adhere patterned paper pieces over the card stock image.

    Step 5

    Finished project.
