The current challenge from Less Is More is to make a one layer card...just one!! And they asked for the sentiment to be the focal point. I just couldn't resist pulling out the stamp set from Verve...the size alone makes it perfect for this challenge. I also decided to use the color combo from the Color Throwdown Challenge. While I was playing I decided to dress it up a little and create another card that was layered up a bit. I tried out the stamp and twist technique (ink your stamp...press on paper...twist in a complete circle) to create my background...almost looks like a smudged accident but the Wisteria Wonder ink was twisted intentionally. Either one of these cards will work for the As You See It challenge as well...fill in the blank. "When I think of simple, I think of plain ole ink & card stock!"

WAVE...is the cue card from the CASology challenge this week. I right away thought of this Verve stamp set...Verve Stamps may no longer be in business but I do love to ink them up from time to time. Today's card is super simple...Just some plain ole stamping, masking, and coloring. I realized while coloring with my Stampin Up markers this morning that it is time to replace them. I have had my box of markers for over 15 years and some of the colors are original to that purchase!! The Stampin and Write markers from Stampin Up are amazing!!

Today I am playing along with 2 challenges...the sketch challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments and the color challenge from the Color Throwdown blog. The color combo this week is pink/gray/black. Not sure why, but this combo made me think of a sympathy card...maybe because I mailed out a sympathy card yesterday.
