New Sketch/New Stamp Set

Here is my card for the sketch given over at Let's Scrap....I used a stamp set from the sponsor of this weeks sketch...Mark's Finest Papers. I stamped my frog on patterned paper from Stampin UP....cut him out and sponged the edges--created a background using the cat tail stamp, brayering some colors over it with a masked moon--embossed my background with a plate from Stampin Up and then spritzing the paper!! Missing you!!

My sister is visiting right now...she and her 4 boys!! We are having so much fun and after having them around for 3 weeks I know I will miss them terribly when they leave.....so I have made this card and will send it before she leave so that when they arrive home she will have it. For this card I used Mercy's sketch and the color combo challenge from Embellish Magazine. EM's challenge also called for a label and I created my wavy label by hand and stamped it with an I Miss You sentiment from Stamping up. My main image piece was stamped in Choc. Chip and colored in with So Saffron and Cameo Coral.....all products from Stampin Up.

Mojo Monday #143....it has been forever since I have gotten to play!!

It has been forever since I have gotten to make a card....it feels great!! I have not had a chance to stamp in such a long time.....busy busy schedules around here!! I used my new embossing folder that I just got today.....So Saffron, Perfect Plum, and Mellow Moss for my color combination, and I decided to play around with the Mojo Monday sketch today....always a great source of inspiration. I hope to be able to play along alittle more than I have been these last several weeks. Thanks to all of you who missed me and let me know....that felt good!!

Blog Hop Winner for Stop #3

What fun!!! The blog hop hosted by 10 of the Let's Scrap design team members was such a blast!! I met some new faces, saw lots of great talent, and enjoyed participating in each of the stops. Our blog hop has come to an end and now it is time for the best part.....hearing who won!!

Picking a winner was so hard for me.....there were so many great takes on this challenge and I want to thank each one of you that played along!!! I really enjoyed being apart of this blog hop....my very first one!! You all made it fun.....such great pieces of art work!!

Blog Stop #3 For Let's Scrap

National Scrapbooking Day was last weekend, right? Well not at Let's Scrap.
We are celebrating our scrapbooking ALL MONTH LONG. We started with some
great games and challenges during NSD weekend, and now we are back with the
Let's Scrap Design Team Blog Hop. Below you will find a list of those DT's
who are joining us in the blog hop. Each stop on the hop will offer you a
different challenge. Become a follower of each Design Team Member's blog

So what is my challenge??

Using this picture as your inspiration make a CARD!! I know I know...you are hopping from blog to blog for Let's Scrap (and that is a Scrapping site) but I thought I would shake it up a bit and give you something alittle different (we do that once a month over at Let's Scrap for our challenge). For your challenge use the 5-5-10 page layout (the left side of it....cause that is the one with only one image) as your sketch (I think that all the circles in this sketch fit perfect with the inspiration picture) and make a square card.....also make sure you include aleast 4 pieces of patterned paper, some brads, and in place of the photo use a stamped image (of course this will not be a 4 x 6 as called for in the sketch)....so what does this challenge call for....here is a summary:

>Square Card

>5-5-10 sketch layout

>aleast 4 different patterned papers

>Brads

>Stamped Image in place of photo

Embellish Dimension Color Challenge

Today I created a card for the Embellish Magazine's Color challenge....they also want us to include dimension of some kind. My colors are taken from the Stampin Up color collection: Baja Breeze, Choc. Chip, Certainly Celery, and Really Rust. My Really Rust back ground was embossed using my paisley embossing folder...the main panel was cut out using the Nessties cutting system...my paisleys on the main panel we cut out and paper piece using the Provo Craft paisley die...that main panel is held in place by dimensional...the center part of the ribbon is attached using a 3D glue dot. Color Throwdown # 92 and 2sketch4you sketch challenge

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge and the 2sketch4you sketch challenge. It has been such a long time is I have had time to play along with these challenges. It feel good to be back in the groove of creating some cards.....I have been so tied up with soccer, and my DT duties over at Let's Scrap and Soul Scrapper.......but, I am getting so many pages done!!
