I just got a delivery from Stampin Up today and I couldn't wait to play with these Friendly Seagulls.  This set is a freebie during their Sale-A-Bration event.

TGIF Challenges // #tgif510 ...A theme challenge!! Stampin Up's Sale-A-Bration is the theme for this current challenge.  I just got my order of Sale-A-Bration items so the timing of this challenge is perfect.  I used the Friendly Seagulls to make today's card. 

Polkadoodles Challenge // FEB25 ...An "anything goes" challenge!!  I love these types of challenges because the possiblities are endless!!   

We Love Stamping // FEB25 ...A monthly stamping challenge!!  Must have some stamping on the front of your card.  For the month of February they want to see CAS (clean and simple) cards.  So this challenge paired up perfectly with our new "clean and simple" challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz.

A Two Card Monday

 

Card #1 was inspired by 3 challenges...

Just Us Girls // #JUG760 ...A "CASE the designer" challenge!!  I picked Ina's card to case.  I just recieved the fern embossing folder last week in my Stampin Up order and was anxious to use it so that was the first inspiring portion.  I also loved her collage around the butterfly.  Even though I changed the color, I think you see the CASEing very clearly.

Just Add Ink // #JAI736 ...A "just add" challenge!!  For this current challenge we are "just adding" BLING!!  This collage card was perfect for scattering in alot of bling.

Retro Rubber Challenges // #rrcb247 ...A color challenge using a stamp that is over a year old!!  I used a Tim Holtz sentiment stamp that is over 10 years old...you should see how stained up it is but still works perfectly.  I also used Stampin Up's Gorgeous Grunge which is even older (2013)...one of my favorite stamp set ordered back when I was a demonstrator that still gets used almost weekly.

Card #2 was inspired by 1 challenge...

Freshly Made Sketches // #FMS671 ...A sketch challenge!!  I love this retired ruffled ribbon from Stampin Up.  It was perfect for this sketch.

New Challenge @ Sunday Stamps #SSC353

 

Today begins a new challenge at...

Sunday Stamps // #SSC353 ...A sketch challenge!!  Claire created a "Pretty Frames" sketch for our new challenge that begins today.  Her clean and simple sketch reminds me of my first days in card making when layering up a central focal point was how all my cards looked...it is easy, comfortable to do, and always looks great!!

TicTacToe Challenges // #tttc263 ...A game board challenge!!  My winning three in a row on this game board run across the bottom...CAS*Free*Ribbon for the win!!  I kept today's card clean and simple, my free is "frames focal point", and black gingham ribbon finishes off my three in a row.

Inspire.Create.Challenge // #ICC185 ...A theme challenge!!  The theme for this current challenge is...clean and simple!!  I kept my card clean and simple with lots of white space along with basic stamping and layering.

  Word Art Wednesday // #WAW685-686 ...A verse challenge!!  The verse for this current challenge is found in Luke 1:79.  My inspiration for today's card is the phrase "give light" at the beginning of the verse...thus my burst of light on my card.  My hope is that this card will bring a ray of light to a friend going through a dark time.

Alphabet Challenge // 24JAN25 ...An ABC challenge!!  U is for UNDERWATER!!  My octopus got a little tangled up and missed a birthday...so belated birthday wishes it is!!

Cupcake Inspirations // #CI610 ...A cupcake inspired challenge!!  The cupcake photo for this challenge has us adding a tag.  I also was inspired by the pink icing and the sparkly pearls...so I stamped my octopus on Blushing Bride card stock and added some sparkly embellishments that just arrived in my Stampin Up order.

Addicted to Stamps & More // #ATS&M485 ...A theme challenge!!  The theme for this current challenge is to use die cuts and/or stencils.  I used die cuts only this time.

Never Before Used Schtuff // #NBUS71 ...

Not a challenge site but a great place to show off those "never been used" items...whether it is something brand new or something that has been neglected. Today I am showcasing new sparkly embellishments that I just got in my new Stampin Up order.

Addicted to CAS // #275 ...A clean and simple "code word" challenge!!  CENTER FOCUS is the code word for this challenge!!  This is a perfect challenge for showcasing my new set of honeybee stamps...giving them CENTER stage!!  I kept today's card clean & simple and it is a center focused card.

Inspire.Create.Challenge // #ICC185 ...A theme challenge!!  The theme for this challenge is CLEAN & SIMPLE!!  This challenge can be perfectly paired with any other CAS challenge.

Never Before Used Schtuff // #NBUS70 ...A "never been used" challenge!!  This is the first time I have inked up these Penguin Palace stamps that I won from Word Art Wednesday.

 Card #1 was inspired by...

Inky Paws Challenge // #236 ...A color challenge!!  Cherry Red, Turquoise, and Buttery Brown are the colors called for in this current challenge.  I saw the link to this challenge on the Word Art Wednesday blog and decided to combine their verse challenge with this color challenge.  I used Newton's Nook designer paper and coffee frame dies.

Word Art Wednesday // #WAW685-686 ...A verse challenge!!  The verse for this current challenge comes from Luke 1:79.  Each morning as I sit and have my quiet time and meditate over scripture I have a cup of warm coffee in my hand.  So this coffee card seemed appropriate as I meditate on His Word and look to be "guided into a way of peace".

Card #2 was inspired by...

Sketch~N~Scrap // JAN2025 ...A sketch challenge!!  We were given 4 retro sketch to choice from...I picked #114 from 2018.  When life gets prickly others need to know we are thinking about them.  I used old designer papers & felt flowers along with a new card base.  I had run out of card bases and picked up a brand new pack of them...so that is my new!!

As You See It // #AYSI340 ...A "fill in the blank" challenge!!  This year, my crafting resolution is ___________.  For me I am resolving to use up my designer paper stash!!  For today's card I am using some from Stampin Up's retired Flowering Cactus bundle.

Double Trouble Challenge // #183 ...A "Thing 1, Thing 2, & Thing 3" challenge!!  Thing 1 wants us to follow this recipe: 1 sentiment that makes you smile (I mean when this little mouse finds a cabin in the woods "Stay Cozy" just brings a smile), 2 patterned papers (Wintergreen tablet from Hobby Lobby), and 3 images (mini snowflakes stamped, mouse from Colorado Craft Company & embossed cabin image).  Thing 2 wants to see a mouse or some cheese...CHECK. Thing 3 asks us to use the sketch from Try A Sketch On Tuesday...CHECK.

Try A Sketch On Tuesday // #TSOT662 ...A sketch challenge!!  For the circles called for in this sketch I used my mouse and snowflakes.

Can You Handle The Pressure // 25JAN25 ...An embossing challenge with an optional theme!!  I used the optional theme of SNOW with this cabin in the woods snow scene & by embossing my snowflakes with a lattice folder.

INKspirational Challenges // #IC333 ...A "word prompt" challenge!!  The word prompt for this current challenge is SNOW!!  I used a snow scape scene along with snowflakes.

New Challenge @ Shopping Our Stash #SOS540

 

Today begins a new challenge at...

Shopping Our Stash // #SOS540 ...A "shop your stash" challenge with a theme!!  The theme for this challenge is CRAFTY REMNANT!!  What does that mean?? To use it mean to use something that is layout on you work space...you know that item that didn't get put away, left over pieces & parts, stamp sets that have stacked up or embellishments that are still laying out.  

For me, I used the torn piece and remaining 6x6 designer paper that was leftover from my "See Ya Soon" card that I made on January 25th.  Even my stamped image and mat were left over scraps that I found in my leftover paper box that sits on my desk.  You can see it HERE.

As You See It // #AYSI340 ...A "fill in the blank" challenge!!  This year my crafting resolution is __________.  My resolution is to use from my stash of designer papers!!  Today not only did I do that but I used leftovers from another card and scraps from my paper box of scraps.  Really I think I have enough paper to last until Jesus returns!!

Inspire.Create.Challenge // #ICC185 ...A clean and simple challenge.  I kept today's card clean (lot of white space and not embellishment) and simple (basic stamping and layering...nothing fancy).

Allsorts Challenge // #AC815 ...An "anything goes" challenge with an optional twist!!  The twist for this current challenge is CLOSE TO NATURE.  I did use with twist by creating all natural beach scene...no people or toys just the sand, surf, and a bird!!  I use Stampin Up's Waves of Inspiration stamp set along with their papers for creating today's card.

Hand Stamped Senitments // #HSS445 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch was the starting point for today's card.  The trio of images called for was perfect for showcasing these beautiful wooden snowflakes that I have in my stash.

INKspirational Challenges // #IC333 ...A "word prompt" challenge!!  SNOW is our prompt for this current challenge!!  How about a trio of laser cut wooden snowflakes?!!?

Papercraft Challenges // #PC114 ...A theme challenge!!  The theme for this current challenge is WINTER WONDER.  I created a winter wonderland of snowflakes in the pines.  Belive it or not we had a winter wonderland here is Florida this past week with a blanket of snow on the sand...CRAZY!!

Allsorts Challenge // #AC815 ...An "anything goes" challenge with an optional twist.  CLOSE TO NATURE is the optional twist and I used that with my snowflakes in the pines.  While I don't enjoy the cold that bring snow or the mess it leaves behind it is a beautiful part of nature.  All parts of today's card are from Hobby Lobby...the laser cut snowflake dies, the Wintergreen designer paper, and the gold card base.
