New Challenge @ Shopping Our Stash #SOS557

Today begins a new challenge at...

Shopping Our Stash // #SOS557 ...A "shop your stash" challenge with a theme!!  WITH SYMPATHY is the theme for this new challenge that beings today.

I pulled out a background stamps that I haven't used in years and my Rose Wonder stamp set and die that has collected lots of dust.  I stamped the large floral image, water-colored it using watercolor pencils, and then overlayed the rose part with the match outline die...didn't use an overlay on the leaves...just kept them stamped and water-colored only.

Now it is your turn...hop on over to our blog and check out all the details for this new challenge.  While you are there you will find great inspiration from the rest of the design team.  We can't wait to see your sympathy cards.

3 other challenges inspired today's card...

Addicted to Stamps & More // #ATS&M501 ...A "make your mark" challenge!!  They want to see our coloring...I made my mark with water-color pencils.

The Paper Players // #PP756 ...A theme challenge!!  WATER-COLORING is the theme of this current challenge.  And they wanted a clean and simple card...my is simple but maybe not as clean as it should be with that filigree background.  Hopefully it is muted enough that my card won't be thrown out.

Allsorts Challenge // #AC832 ...an "anything goes" challenge with an optional theme!!  The theme for this current challenge...TREES, LEAVES, and PLANTS.  I used the leaves and plants part...no trees this time.

  6. What a beautiful way to honor the theme—there’s something especially poignant about using long-forgotten supplies to create a sympathy card. The soft watercoloring paired with the die-cut rose adds such gentle dimension, and leaving the leaves simply stamped and colored gives the whole piece a quiet elegance. This feels like a heartfelt tribute, both in technique and intention.
