Shopping Our Stash // #SOS557 ...A "shop your stash" challenge with a theme!! WITH SYMPATHY is the theme for this new challenge that beings today.
I pulled out a background stamps that I haven't used in years and my Rose Wonder stamp set and die that has collected lots of dust. I stamped the large floral image, water-colored it using watercolor pencils, and then overlayed the rose part with the match outline die...didn't use an overlay on the leaves...just kept them stamped and water-colored only.

The Paper Players // #PP756 ...A theme challenge!! WATER-COLORING is the theme of this current challenge. And they wanted a clean and simple card...my is simple but maybe not as clean as it should be with that filigree background. Hopefully it is muted enough that my card won't be thrown out.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful way to honor the theme—there’s something especially poignant about using long-forgotten supplies to create a sympathy card. The soft watercoloring paired with the die-cut rose adds such gentle dimension, and leaving the leaves simply stamped and colored gives the whole piece a quiet elegance. This feels like a heartfelt tribute, both in technique and intention.
