Color Throwdown // #ctd751 ...A color challenge!!  Aqua, kraft, cream and gold...for me it is a beachy combination.  Made me want to put my toes in the sand.

Just Us Girls // #JUG687 ...A word challenge!!  SEASHELLS!!  I used the seashells from Stampin Up's Beachy Little Christmas.  Let's kick off our flip flops and go shelling!!

Cardz 4 Guyz // #C4G286 ...A masculine challenge with a contemporary Christmas theme!!  Today begins a new challenge over at the Cardz 4 Guyz blog.  I hope you will come join the fun and play along with us.  It will be exciting to see all the creative takes on our "contemporary Christmas" challenge!!

Just Add Ink // #JAI584 ...A gift card holder challenge!!  Buried deep in my stash, I had these kraft gift card holders that Stampin Up had in their holiday catalog years ago.  This challenge came at the perfect time because my son's girlfriend has a birthday just 3 days before Christmas and I needed a gift card holder for her.  So here is my wintery birthday but not Christmas gift card holder!

TicTacToe Challenge // #tttc143 ...A game board challenge!! My winning three in a run down the right hand side of the board...cupcake, anything but a card, and banner.  This cupcake image is a favorite of mine from Verve stamp (so sad that company is no longer around).

Hand Stamped Sentiments // #HSS378 ...A color challenge!!  This weeks color combo is Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, and Merry Merlot.  A perfect Christmas combination for the beachy little tree!!

Color Throwdown // #ctd672 ...A color challenge!!  Pink, turquoise, green and black.  I used Stampin Up's Flirty Flamingo, Tempting Turquoise, and Granny Apple Green for my color combo.

As You See It // #AYSI265 ...A speed challenge!! Make you card in under 10 minutes!! Oh and create a snowflake themed card!!  I used one of Stampin Up's retired snowflake sets along with rhinestone to match the ink.  Pretty classy looking for only taking 6 minutes...don't you think?!?

CASology // #398 ...A cue card challenge!!  The cue card for this challenge is ABOVE!!  Snowflakes fall from the sky so they are coming from ABOVE!!

TGIF Challenge // #TGIFC295 ...A theme challenge! Christmas tree!  I love this beachy little Christmas tree stamp (retired from Stampin Up).  It is a perfect stamp set for me since we live in Florida!!

Fab Friday // #FF204 ...A color challenge!  The fab five color combo for this current challenge is...Pear Pizzaz, Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride, Shaded Spruce, and Seaside Spray.  A perfect combination for this beachy Christmas tree!!

Try Stampin' on Tuesday // #TSOT487 ...A sketch challenge!  This sketch was perfect for showcasing this cute beachy Christmas tree.

A Beachy Little Christmas // CAS Colours & Sketches #400

 

Today's card is for the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge.  This is a milestone challenge for them...the 400th challenge...YIPPIE!!  For the current challenge we were to pick a past color combo or sketch and make it a seasonal card.  I picked challenge #373 which was a color challenge...that color combo was Pool Party//Crumb Cake//Pear Pizzazz.  Those colors sounded like a beachy little Christmas to me!!  So out came Stampin Up's retired set...Beachy Little Christmas.

#bethegift challenge:  Give a busy mama you know a few hours this Sunday afternoon to run some Christmas errands without her children in tow.

Sketch Saturday Challenge #594

Who needs snowflakes when you have seashells!??!  The sentiment on today's card for the Sketch Saturday challenge is perfect for how I feel this Christmas!  So much so that our tree this year has nothing but lights and seashells.  Seashells that we have collected from our favorite shoreline and made into ornaments!!  I love how it turned out!!  


3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts manger small...It is the small things! Making the most out of a less then perfect surroundings!!  No room in the inn...complain or make it work??  The manager became the perfect bed in less then perfect surroundings...oh that we could to that!?!

As You See It Challenge #215

The As You See It challenge this week was to create a card showing what brings you holiday joy.  The first thing I thought of was family but I was struggling with stamps to create a card that represented that so.....Stampin Up's Beachy Little Christmas came to mind!!!  I love seashells instead of snowflakes, I love taking the boat out when our kids comes to visit from Chicago and NewYork,  I love sitting in a beach chair watching the sunset instead of sitting inside in front of a fireplace.  Yep...a beachy Christmas brings me joy!!  

3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts)  3 gifts frosted...Sugar cookies!! My hair--I get asked all the time "who colors your hair? the frosting is perfection"--Natural perfection from my Maker!!  Cupcakes made by my dear friend Donna--no one does them quite like her!!  Say a prayer for her today if you get a moment...she is half way through her chemotherapy for breast cancer and this last treatment really took a lot out of her!!  She could use a super natural boost about now!!
