Card #1...

Just Us Girls // #JUG730 ...A color challenge!! PINK & AQUA are the colors called for in this week's challenge.  I used Strawberry Slush for my pink (it is retired from Stampin Up) and Pool Party for my Aqua.

Global Design Project // #GDP448 ...A CASE challenge!!  For this current challenge we are CASEing a card by Krista Frattin.  My inspiration from her card...the collage technique, the sketch, and I limited it to two color like she did.

Card #2...

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge // #AHSC580 ...A sketch challenge!!  Another great sketch from the AHSC team to inspire out creativity.  I used a circle "mask" and Tim Holtz's stencil for my circle portion of this sketck and then stamped a two step floral image from Stampin Up's Penned & Painted stamp that has been retired for a while.  One of those sets that I just can't part with!!

Time Out Challenges // #TOC265 ...A quote challenge!!  “There are always flowers for those who want to see them.”– Henri Matisse  A collage of flowers on card #1...can you find find them...do you want to see them?? Card #2 boasts of a single flower found during a time of grief.

{PIN}spirational Challenge // #314 ...A Pintrest inspired craft supply challenge!!  For the month of June we are inspired by flowers...a staple in all forms of crafting!!  I find that my collection of stamps has very many different flowers.  I used different flower stamps on each of today's cards.

Once Upon A Time // #23 ...A monthly book challenge!!  This month's book is... Up in the Garden and Down in the Dirt by Kate Messner.  Both of today's card are fitting for this month's book title.

Festive Friday Challenges // #FF160 ...An "inspo list" challenge!!  From the inspo list honoring Father's Day choose three out of the 10 elements given.  For today's card, I used a wooden element (the key), masculine colors (shades of blue and black), and car (a Tim Holtz stamp).

Global Design Project // #gdp447 ...A social media challenge that can be found on FaceBook and Instagram.  For this curent challenge we have a theme...TRANSPORTATION.  This antique car was the forerunner of transportation today.

Try A Sketch On Tuesday // #TSOT647 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch was perfect for a Father's Day card.  When I first saw it I thought it had a masculine feel to it...so Father's Day it is!!

Double Trouble // #DT167 ...A "6th Anniversary Raffle" challenge!!  I am grabbing a "Blue Father's Day raffle ticket" with this card.  Thanks, Suzanne for the heads up about adding my card to this raffle drawing!!

Global Design Project // #GDP446 ...A "social media" challenge!!  For this current challenge they are offering up a sketch challenge.  I used a tablet of designer paper that I found in a craft clean out...perfect for this sketch!!

Make My Monday // #MMM226 ...A "theme" challenge!!  Dog//Puppy is the theme for this challenge.  I found a left over tablet of designer paper from back in my scrapbooking day (when we had a dog).  It was just what I needed for this challenge since I only have one dog stamp in my stash. Can you believe that...how is that possible with the many stamp sets that I have!??!

Freshly Made Sketches // #FMS636 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch was the starting point for today's card.  I am not sure why but when I saw this sketch I just felt like it had a nautical vibe to it.

Global Design Project // #GDP445 ...A social media challenge!!  For this current challenge they have given us a color challenge.  The trio of colors for this challenge: Pretty Peacock, Moody Mauve, and Petal Pink.

Hand Stamped Sentiments // #HSS438 ...A "mood board" challenge!!  My inspiration from the mood board: the colors and the serene vibe (cause any time you are on the water it is serene).

Just Us Girls // #JUG727 ...A "mood board" challenge!!  While this mood board was very different from the one from HSS, the inspirations overlapped.  The sailboat on this board is what inspired me!!

Global Design Project // #gdp444 ...A CASE challenge!!  For this current challenge we are CASEing a card made by Kayla Renee.  My inspiration from her card...the background rays and the layered pieces and parts at the center.  GDP is moving to a social media platform only so you can find them on FaceBook or Instagram moving forward.

Retro Rubber Challenges // #rrcb230 ...A "retro" challenge with a theme!!  The theme for this current challenge is "Out To Sea"!!  I used 2 stamp sets from Stampin Up that are over a year old...Guy Greetings (2018) for the sentiment and Come Sail Away (2019) for the anchor and die.  The Mother's Day sentiment is from Verve Stamps (no longer in business) and is over 10 years old.

Global Design Project // #GDP443 ...A theme challenge!! MUSIC is the theme of this challenge!!  I used a sheet music embossing folder and a music note brad to bring music to this thank you card.

Make My Monday // #MMM224 ...A challenge honoring "International Jazz Day"!!  How about some sheet music?!!? I'm not much of a music reader and for all I know this embossing folder creates classical music but for today I am believing that it is JAZZ!!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge // #AHSC575 ...A sketch challenge!!  I love this slim line sketch...it was perfect for my "note" of thanks card!!

Color Throwdown Challenge // #ctd791 ...A color challenge!!  Gray, Magenta, and Aqua are the colors called for in the current challenge.  A musical combo of colors...at least it was for me on today's card!!

Update:  The card was chosen as a "top 3" over at Make My Monday challenges!!  What an honor to get this shout out from their design team!!

Inspire.Create.Challenge // #ICC166 ...A theme challenge!!  The theme for this current challenge is "something new".  A new set of stamps workes perfect for this challenge!!

INKspirational Challenges // #IC314 ...A "mood board" challenge!!  My inspiration for the mood board: the colors and the "you are cool" sentiment!!  How cool of these chics to meet for coffee and a chat!!

Never Before Used Schtuff // #NBUS61 ...A "never been used" challenge!!  This is a montly challenge all about showcasing new items or things that you have yet to use.  Today, I am using a new stamp set.

Global Design Project // #GDP440 ...A CASE challenge!!  For this current challenge we are CASEing a card created by Nicole Peschke.  I loved her white on white, the soft hint of colors, and the addition of gold.  

Colorful Options // APR2024 ...A color challenge!!  For the month of April we are to use pastels!!  Soft Sea Foam from Stampin Up is a favorite pastel of mine.  Card #2 would also fit this challenge because I used pastels (a word with two meanings) for coloring my image.

{PIN}spirational Challenges // #312 ...A Pinterest inspired challenge!!  In 2024 Deanne has us each month using different crafting supplies to create a card that is inspired by a Pinterest photo.  For the month of April we are EMBOSSING!!  For today's card I did heat embossing using stencils and for my sentiment.

Update: Yahoo!!  So excited that this card was chosen as a "favortie" winner over at {PIN}spirtional challenges}.  Thanks to Deanne for the shout out on my card...what an honor!!

Retro Rubber Challenges // #rrcb228 ...A retro rubber sketch challenge!!  This challenge has us using stamps that are over a year old.  How about this one...it is from Stampin Up and dates back to 1999!!  25 years old!!  Retro indeed...even has a very different style then we see today!!

Hand Stamped Sentiments // #HSS435 ...An inspiration challenge!!  This collage of photos is all things spring!! Myy inspirationn from the photo...birdies, wreath, floral, and spring time colors!!

Color Throwdown Challenge // #ctd788 ...A color challenge!!  Pink, Yellow, and Green are the colors called for in this challenge.  A spring time color combo perfect for this "Best Wishes" wreath.  I even made my birdies yellow to match the photo!!

Make My Monday // #MMM223 ...A theme challenge!!  A "natural picture of a bird".  These little birdies hovering over their nest seemed pretty natural to me...Right?!?
