His Holy Name

I have decided to be apart of the His Holy Name challenge--every other week through out 2009 we will be given a name of our Lord. Our job is to study God's word to find a verse or verses that we found to have special mean to us and create either a page, ATC, Rolodex card, etc. My album is a little shaped chipboard ring album. My inside pages I cut to have a straight edge. Our first name was HOLY. I used Isa. 6:3 on my title page--"Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty, the whole earth is filled with His glory". I decided on this verse because I love the reminder that He is here with us and His glory surrounds us. On the back of that pages I listed these verses: I Peter 1:16, I Sam 2:2, and Luke 1:49. I enjoyed the extra time I was able to spend in God's word, and of course designing my pages was fun!! I am looking forward to our next Name and excited about what my album will look like in the end. Come along and join the fun!!

Looking for Love Release Week Challenge

Here are my entries for the Looking for Love Release Week Challenges. Julee gave us one color challenge and 3 sketch challenges. I have enjoyed the extra challenges but I am not getting my work done like I should--oh well!! That is what happens when you get hooked to stamping!! I am not sure how this happened (still learning my way around my blog) but the cards are not in order of the sketchs!! I have tried editing several times and I can't get it to work!! Oh well at least the 4 cards are here together.

Mojo Sketch Challenge #68

Today I couldn't do the daily challenge at SCS because over Christmas I used all my tacky tape!! Too bad I do not have any stores close to my house--30 minute to town from here--so I had time to do the Mojo Challenge today instead of later in the week. The only problem is we have been without phone or DSL for most of the day. We are back up for the moment so I will give loading this card to my blog a try. I love the sketch challenges that Verve give to us each week. If you want to play along you can find the details here: Mojo Sketch Challenge. I used the Pina Colada Simply Scrappin set. I loved it on my pages that I posted earlier so I thought I would try making a card with it. I love the color combo and these flower die stickers are so cool. I hope you like my creation.

OCC Sketch Challenge

Here is my card for the OCC sketch challenge. Just click on the side bar for Our Creative Corner and you will see the challenge. I love sketch challenges--I think they are my favorite. And it is alway so much fun to see all the different inspirations that come from that one sketch. I used the Top Note die from Stampin'Up! to make my main panel--sponged on some color--stamped my posies (Pocket Silhouettes from Stampin'UP!)--added a ribbon--layered on Green Galore and then unto Pixie Pink that I had run through the CuttleBug--finished it off with a sentiment stamped in Basic Gray that I punched out with my Label Punch--attached with Silver Hodge-Podge Hardware. I love the springy feel this card give even is Spring is seeming like a long way off!!

Happy New Year!!

Today has been a great 1st day of this New Year!! I spent the day scrapbooking with several friends!! We had a great time and got lots of scraping done!! Here are serveral pages that I made today minus the journaling. I used the Pina Colada Simply Scrappin set. I love these Simply Scrappin sets--they make scrapbooking so easy. These pages are of my husband and I's 19th Anniversary. We spent the weekend on the Skyline Drive at the Skyland Lodge. We enjoyed the drive in our friends Jeep. It was so beautiful. I hope you enjoy seeing what I created today!!
