New Challenge @ Cardz 4 Guyz #C4G335

 

Today begins a new challenge at...

Cardz 4 Guyz // #C4G335 ...A masculine card with a winter scene!!  I figured the best way to keep a winter scene masculine was to create a scene with some gnomes!!  Such adorable little guys!!  So...I used my gnome dies and created a winter scene of two gnomes frolicking in the snow.  Maybe they are father and son or maybe a grandpa and his grand...let your imagination decide.

Inspired By Challenges // #IB262 ...An inspiration challenge with an optional sketch.  I used both the photo and the sketch for creating my winter scene. 

The gray monochromatic seen in the photo made for the perfect masculine winter scene called for over at the C4G challenge.  Two challenges paired up perfectly!!

Festive Friday Challenges // #FF0147 ...An inspo list challenge!!  From an inspo list of ten honoring "World Hello Day", choose at least 3 of them to be included in your card.  My 3 elements from the list are: patterned paper, two of something, and envelope.

Update:  How exciting to have this adorable gnome card chosen as a  "top pick" by the design team over at Festive Friday.  I so enjoy these Inspo challenges...they are so great at giving me inspiration for my cards!!

Freshly Made Sketches // #FMS611 ...A sketch challenge!!  Another great sketch from the FMS team...611 great sketches to be exact!!  I think I have played along with most of them.  Thanks to the FMS team for providing great inspiration to us!!

Addicted to Stamps & More // #ATSM456 ...A "make your mark" challenge!!  I made my mark with the acrylic block watercolor technique.  This technique works perfectly on fall colored leaves.

Color Throwdown // #ctd768 ...A color challenge!! Yellow, Brown, Red, and Kraft are the colors called for in this challenge.  A perfect color combination this time of year.

New Challenge @ Sunday Stamps #SSC322

 

Today begins a new challenge at...

Sunday Stamps // #SSC322 ...A sketch challenge!!  Our new sketch challenge that starts today is called "Layer It".  And just like the title suggest this sketch has lots of layers.  Since I have been down with the flu I kept my card very simple and took advantage of scraps that I had laying on my work space.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge // #AHSC550 ...A sketch challenge!!  Every card needs a starting place and for today's card that was this sketch.  Once I decided on the sketch the papers and images just fell into place.

As You See It Challenges // #AYSI311 ...A recipe challenge!!  The ingredients for this recipe are: a holiday theme, embossing folder, twine, die cut, and patterned paper.  I used all 5 of the ingredients to make today's card.

Global Design Project // #GDP419 ...A theme challenge!!  TIS THE SEASON!! I love that this season of thankfulness flows into a season of giving.  And giving makes us merry and allows us to shine bright. Tis the season to be merry & bright...right?!!?  

Make My Monday // #MMM213 ...A theme challenge!! "Lighting the Way" is the theme for this current challenge.  A star lite the way in days of old on that first Christmas night and still shines brightly for us.  So I am using a star to light the way on today's card.

Color Hues // #TCH75 ...A color challenge!!  Light blue and purple are the colors called for in this color challenge.  I used Stampin Up's Pool Party and Fresh Freesia.

Never Before Used Schtuff // #NBUS56 ...A "never been used" challenge!!  My mom gave me a bin of sewing items that she wanted rid of.  She thought I might could use some of it on my card.  This bit of leftover lace was perfect for including on this card.  One's trash is another's treasure!!

Cupcake Inspirations // #CI581 ...A cupcake inspired challenge!!  The tiny flowers and the color combo were my inspiration from these yummy looking cupcakes.

Hand Stamped Sentiments // #HSS426 ...A fall inspired challenge!!  You know pumpkins, acorns, leaves...but I left the pumpkins out.
