New Challenge @ CAS on Friday #337

 

Today begins a new challenge at...

CAS on Friday // #337 ...A clean and simple challenge with a theme!!  CHRISTMAS IN JULY is the theme for this current challenge.

Using my score board, I made my Very Vanilla layer into a package with a poinsettia as my bow.  I added matching score lines to my sentiment tag...rejoice and be glad.

The Card Concept // #228b ...A "visual prompt" challenge!!  My inspiration form this visual prompt: the Christmas theme and the color combo.   A Christmas in July card (per part B of this challenge) it is...even though it is not quite July yet!!

Word Art Wednesday // #758-759 ...An "anything goes" challenge with a verse as an optional inspiration!!  While I didn't use the scripture verse on today's card...all scriptures points us to REJOICE & BE GLAD.

Make My Monday // #MMM280 ...A theme challenge!!  The theme for this current challenge...STENCILS!!  I used a sun ray stencils from Tim Holtz on today's card.

Lattes & Layers // JUN2026 ...A monthly latte challenge!!  I used stamps from multiple companies for today's card and layered them up...the sentiment layered in the sun rays is from the Greetery's Cozy Cup set, the beach design layered on the cup is from Stampin Up, and the to go cup is a Heidi Swapp stamp.

I Spy With My Little Eye // #38 ...An "I spy" challenge!!  For this current challenge we are spying SOMETHING BY THE SEA.  How about some waves and sunshine.  And who doesn't love a coffee shop over looking the beach!?!

Never Before Used // #NBUS87 ...

The NBUS blog doesn't give challenges but offers a great place to show off those items that have "never been used"...whether they are brand new or items that you have had for a while but haven't gotten around to using.  Today I am inking up, for the very first time, a "to go" coffee cup from Heidi Swapp stamps.

Inky Paws Challenge // #253 ...A "Newton's Nook" challenge!!  Cute little kittens were given as our inspiration for this month's challenge.  I used a Newton's Nook stencil and kept today's card clean and simple.

Colorful Options // JUN2026 ...A monthly color challenge!!  The color for the month of June is AQUA.  I used Stampin Up's Bermuda Bay as my aqua.

Little Red Wagon // #LRW864 ...A theme challenge!!  The theme for this current challenge is FEATHER, FUR & FIN!!  They want to see animal...little critters even if they don't necessarily have feather, fur or fin.  I picked kittens because I was anxious to play with my new Cutest Crew bundle from Stampin Up.

Make My Monday // #MMM280 ...A theme challenge!!  The theme for this current challenge is STENCILS!!  Playful kittens call for a playful stencil!!

Never Before Used // #NBUS87 ...

Love Those Pretty Papers // JUN2026 ...A monthly "designer paper" challenge with a theme.  The theme for the month of June is PASTELS.  These vintage papers from K & Company are just perfect for this months challenge.

Cupcake Inspirations // #CI638 ...A "cupcake inspired" challenge.  For this current challenge they have given us an "anything goes" challenge.  Those dark cupcake wrappers inspired me to sponge on some dark ink to all my edges.

A Cut Above Challenge // JUN2026 ...A monthly "die cut" challenge!!  I used a thinlits die folder (retired from Stampin Up) for my die cut & embossed butterflies.

Cut it Up Challenge // #358 ...A die cut challenge!!  I used Stampin Up's Sunrise Sailing die for today's card.  I cut out a woodgrain sailboat first and then a polk-a-dot one and layered them up.

AAA Cards // #316 ...A clean and simple challenge with a 1 + 1 game!!  My 1 + 1 from their game board: summer + travel.  One summer I would love to travel via a sailboat along the International waterway!!
