Addicted to CAS // #233 ...A code word challenge!!  PRESENT!!  It is birthday time or I guess it could be Christmas time as well!  But, I went with a birthday present!!

Global Design Project // #GDP370 ...A sketch challenge!!  A simple sketch that was perfect for pairing with the above CAS challenge.

New Challenge @ Shopping Our Stash

 

Today begins a new challenge at...

Shopping Our Stash // #SOS484 ...A theme challenge!!  Shine Bright Like a Diamond is the theme for this new challenge!!  Of course we want you to shop your stash and use up some of those items you have hidden away!!  For my card I used a sun ray stencil along with some bling!!  Now it is your turn, so dig out some bling or anything that shines and play along with us.  If you need some additional inspiration hop over to our blog and check out the shining cards from the rest of the design team.

Today's card was inspired by 2 additional challenges...

Once Upon A Time // #OUAT4 ...A book challenge!!  The book that is our inspiration for this challenge is Dreamers by Yuyi Morales.  From the cover, I used the mother and child image as inspiration, and since I love the dreamy collaged cover, I tried to recreate it as well.

As You See It // #AYSI288 ...A theme challenge!!  I know what you did last summer!!  Well...our biggest vacation surrounded the birth of our grandson!!  Yippie!!  This past summer we made 2 trips to Chicago from Florida all surrounding the birth of our second grandchild...Malachi "Latimer" Babb!! 

We are here again for Thanksgiving, enjoying these sweet little ones!!  Celebrating this season of thanksgiving with their sweet family has been such a joy!!

Freshly Made Sketches // #FMS562 ...A sketch challenge!! The simple sketch was perfect for these two little love birds snuggling up!!

Cupcake Inspirations // #CI557 ...A cupcake inspired challenge!!  These owl cupcakes are adorable!!  So much detail on the cupcake top!!

A "congratulation" card for my son and DIL2B!!  They recently got engaged and this is the card I made to send to them.  Hundreds of miles separate us but we are still excited for them.  Wedding bells are ringing!!

Inspired By Challenge // #IB212 ...An inspiration photo challange!! Berries (maybe not cranberries but berries the same) and the color combo from this inspiration photo was my inspiration for this card.  We are also given an optional sketch, and I used that as well.

Card #2 was inspired by 1 challenge...

Festive Friday // #FF0122 ...An "inspo list" challenge!!  We are given a list of 10 items in honor of National Cake Day, and our challenge is to use 3 items from this "inspo list" on our card.  The 3 items that I picked to create my card: cupcake, birthday sentiment, and candle.  Happy National Cake Day!

CAS Colours & Sketches // #496 ...A color challenge!!  Soft Succulent, Early Espresso & Old Olive are the colors called for in this week's challenge!!  A wintry masculine birthday card is my take on this challenge!

Fusion Challenge // 11.10.22 ...A fusion challenge!! Use the photo or the sketch or fuse them together and create a FUSION!!  I used both...the houses inspired me along with the colors & the sketch was my starting point.  

Thanks to both challenge blogs for giving great inspiration for creating the needed birthday cards.  My daughter asked me to bring a stash of birthday cards for her when we visit over Thanksgiving...so birthday cards are on my radar!!

Just Add Ink // JAI630 ...A "just add" challenge!!  This week we are to "just add" inspiration from a collage of photos.  I picked the colors and the chickens as my inspiration for this CAS card.

Try Stampin On Tuesday // #TSOT582 ...A sketch challenge!!  With a "sweater" option!!  I used the sketch on a stocking shaped card and embossed it so that it would have a sweater look to it.

The Paper Players // #PP617 ...A color challenge!!  Blue, silver, and black/white are the colors called for in this challenge.  A wintery color combo don't you think?!?  ISO...tips for photographing metellic card stock!!  I need some help in this area!!

TicTacToe Challenge // #tttc127 ...A game board challenge!!  My winning three in a row on this tictacto game board: snow (embossing folder & brads), free (metallic), blue (Stampin Up's Pool Party card stock).

Make the Cards Challenge // #68 ...A theme challenge!!  WINTER!!  Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!  Nah!!  I'll take my seashells over the snowflakes, but it does make for a perfectly wintery card!!
