New Challenge @ Shopping Our Stash

 

Today begins a new challenge at...

Shopping Our Stash // #SOS538 ...A "shop your stash" challenge with a theme!!  The theme for this challenge is STARS!!  From my stash, I dug out this designer paper from Stampin Up that retired many years ago but I have been hoarding.  It is a real party on the paper and perfect for adding some star enamel embellishments.  And because of the STAR theme I knew I wanted to use this cute stamp from Colorado Craft Company.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge // #AHSC610 ...A "sketch" challenge!!  This sketch was perfect for showcasing my STARS for the new challenge that begins today at Shopping Our Stash.  The layout was exactly what I needed for using this party bannered papers for my congratulation card.

Card #2 was inspired by 2 challenges...

Just Add Ink // #JAI733 ...A "choose two" challenge!!  From the 3 elements given, choose 2 to use on your card!  The 3 elements that are given for this current challenge are Reindeer, Santa, or Elves.  I picked Reindeer & Santa as my two.

Allsorts Challenge // #AC812 ...An "anything goes" challenge with an optional theme!!  The optional theme for this current challenge is...USE YOUR DIES!!  I have used my Tim Holtz's reindeer & holly die as an accent to the corner of my Penny Black winter scene stamp.  I wish my photo was better and you could see Stampin Up's dazzling diamonds glitter in the trees and on the roofs.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge // #AHSC520 ...A sketch challenge!!  A fun sketch that was perfect for showcasing these cute little mushroom dies!!

Global Design Project // #GDP389 ...A color challenge!!  The color combo for this challenge is Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Tahitian Tide.  

Never Before Used Schtuff // #NBUS49 ...A "never used" challenge!!  The white foliage pieces are cut from dies that have never been used.  They are part of this Tim Holtz mushroom die set but today is the first time I have used them.  The mushrooms have been used several times but not the foliage dies.

Update:  This care was chosen by the Atlantic Hearts design team as a "top 3".  How fun!!  It always makes me smile when one of my cards is given a shout out!!

I started with the sketch challenge and chose my colors based on the color challenge (Stampin Up's Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Hightland Heather)and made sure I had the three in a row off the game board...die cut, leaves, CAS.

Color Throwdown Challenge #618 & Freshly Made Sketches #460

Today's card was inspired by 2 challenges...

Freshly Made Sketches #460...I got a little carried away with this card and ended up covering more of my snowflake vellum banner than intended.  I hate that the banner got a little "lost in translation"!!

Color Throwdown Challenge #618...The color combo for this challenge was Green, Brown,Orange, and Red.  I used Wild Wasabi for my pine tree grove, Soft Suede for my embossed background and reindeer, Calypso Coral for my setting sun, and Real Red ink and rhinestones for my berries.

Inspired By Challenge #143

The Inspired By team has given us "colors of fall" along with a sketch to  inspires us.  Now if these two don't get your creative juices flowing!! For this project I am using a Tim Holtz stamp. and die set.  I love this sketchy oak leaf.  This time of year this stamp set gets inked up quite a bit!!
