Today begins a new challenge at...

Cardz 4 Guyz // #C4G333 ...A masculine challenge with a spooky/scary or bird theme!!  If you have seen the old movie THE BIRDS, scary and bird might just be one in the same!! LOL!!  For my card, I chose to focus on the birds but did give them a creepy, eerie sky to be flying in.

New Challenge @ Shopping Our Stash #SOS500

 

Today begins a new challenge at...

Shopping Our Stash // #SOS500 ...A celebratory challenge!!  That is right...there is lots to celebrate...today marks our 500th challenge!!  Yippie!!  What a milestone!!  So, shop your stash and create a card that reflects celebration and includes numbers.  I shopped my stash and pulled out my number dies...I am very glad I have them even if they don't get used very often.  And since today is my nephews 23rd birthday it seemed fitting to make it a celebration of him.

{PIN}spirational Challenges // #303 ...A Pinterest inspired challenge!!  The Pinterest photo and theme for the month of July offer us a Summertime/Birthday challenge!!  In our family we have a nephew (my sister's son) who has a birthday on the 4th  and a grand-nephew (my husband's sister's son's son) also has to share his birthday with this summer holiday.  We have to remind them that those fireworks are for them...teehee!!

Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge // #SC963 ...A sketch challenge!!  The open space of this panel allowed me to create a patriotic background with these fun blueprint stamps from Tim Holtz.

Colorful Options // July 2023 ...A month long color challenge!!  Red, White, and Blue are the colors for July.  Seems very fitting to have a patriotic color combo for this month.

New Challenge @ Cardz 4 Guyz

Today begins a new challenge at...

Cardz 4 Guyz // #C4G321 ...A masculine challenge!!  With a "get messy" theme!!  Use ink, sprays, paints, etc!!  You know all those things that stain your finger tips!!  I decided to use Pearl Ex!!  I stamped my vintage car in Versa Mark and then using a paint brush, brushed the Sapphire Blue powder over it.  These powders are really messy!!  I had it all over my finger tips and work space.  I think that is why I rarely use them.  They do have an amazing affect...that pearly shimmer is awesome in real life even if you can't really see it in a photo.

Less Is More // #LIM482 ...An alphabet challenge!!  A is for AUTOMOBILE!!  This vintage card from Tim Holtz seemed like the perfect stamp for this challenge!!  And it looks so very cool in this Pearl Ex!!  The photo just does not do it justice, as you can't see the pearly shimmer that it gives.

Just Us Girls // #JUG677 ...A CASE challenge!!  For this challenge we are asked to CASE (copy and share everything) one of the cards created by the design team members.  I picked Elizabeth Stewart's card.  I love the stamped background and the jumbo sentiment along with the smaller sentiment.

Cupcake Inspirations // #CI568 ...A cupcake inspired challenge!!  For this challenge we are creating Mother's Day cards.  I loved the tiny flowers on this cupcake photo and decided to use small flowers on my card.  I picked the Stampin Up's Ring of Nature set for my florals.

Just Add Ink // #JAI650 ...A "Just Add" challenge!!  For this challenge we are "just adding" large letters or numbers.  I decided to use the letters to spell out MOM!!  With Mother's Day right around the corner it seemed fitting.

TGIF Challenges // #tgifc418 ...A "Special Lady" challenge!!  A card made for your mom or some other special lady in your life.  I decided to make a card for my mom!!

TGIF Challenges // #tgifc348 ...A technique challenge!!  The technique called for in this current challenge is MASKING!!  A lot of my stamp sets have a couple of post-it note masks stored in the stamp case.  I love masking and used to use it quite often but have let this technique fall by the wayside.  Thanks for the reminder and inspiration.

Papercraft Challenges // #PC77 ...A theme challenge!! "Driving home for Christmas" is the theme for this challenge!!  I used a Tim Holtz car stamp along with Stampin Up's Winter Woods set to create my "driving home" card.

The Paper Players // #PP559 ...A CAS challenge!!  Clean and simple with a fall theme.  The leaves are beginning to fall and there is a crispness in the air!!

Color Hues // #TCH21 ...A color challenge!!  The current color combo...Red & Blue!!  I was asked to make a card for 90th birthday!! An antique car seemed like the perfect stamp for this request especially since he loves cars!!  I am thinking he may have owned one that looked similar to this one back in the day!!

The Paper Players // #PP548 ...A theme challenge!! Stars and Stripes...that is the theme for this challenge!  I love this Tim Holtz star stamp...it is perfect for a little bit of paper piecing and the star part of the theme.  For the stripe part of the theme I scores diagonal stripes at the top and bottom of my card using Stampin Up's Simply Scored tool.

Color Hues // #TCH21 ...A color challenge!! The duo of colors for this challenge is red & blue!  A very patriotic duo and a perfect pairing with The Paper Players theme.
