Today begins a new challenge at...

Cardz 4 Guyz // #C4G326 ...A masculine challenge with a "Christmas in July theme!!  We wanted to do our part so that December isn't so stressful!!  So...let's see your masculine Christmas cards and maybe it will also help us get ideas for our Christmas stash.  Starting on those Christmas cards mid year sure does help, or better yet work on that stash alittle each month!!  For my card I did use poinsettias but I used deep rich greens and reds to make it masculine.  Your turn...hop on over to our blog, check out the other team members cards, and then join the fun and play along with us.

Retro Rubber Challenges // #rrcb210 ...A sketch challenge!!  Not only a sketch challenge but we are to used stamps that are at least a year old.  Stamping Up's Ringed With Nature set that I used for this card came out July 1st 2023 so it is over a year old!!  Barely but it does meet that part of the challenge!!

INKspirational Challenges // #293 ...A word prompt challenge!!  The prompt for this challenge is exactly like our's over at C4G..."Christmas in July"!!  Great minds think alike!!  When it comes to card making it is a good idea to start thinking ahead and planning out those Christmas cards!!

Addicted to Stamps & More // #449 ...An "any occasion" challenge!!  We get to pick the occasion.  So...I picked Christmas!!  How could I not with all this "Christmas in July" talk!!

Cupcake Inspirations // #CI570 ...An "anything goes" challenge!!  Seeing the texture of those cupcakes without icing...made me think of the texture I created on this turtle with enamel glaze embossing powder.

Festive Friday Challenges // #FF0135 ...An inspo list challenge!!  We have been given an inspo list in celebration of Father's Day.  Our job is to create a card using 3 of the 10 items on the inspo list.  For my Father's Day card I used an eyelet, die cuts, and a masculine theme with a Happy Father's Day sentiment. 

Just Add Ink // #JAI654 ...A color challenge!!  Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, and Daffodil Delight are the colors called for in this challenge.  Perfect color combination for a bright cheery Father's Day card.

Sketch~N~Scrap Challenges // #S&SC242 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch was perfect for showcasing Stampin Up's Ringed with Nature stamp set and matching designer papers.  I love the banner tabs to the side of this sketch...perfect for using ribbons!!

New Challenge @ Cardz 4 Guyz

Today begins a new challenge at...

Cardz 4 Guyz // #C4G321 ...A masculine challenge!!  With a "get messy" theme!!  Use ink, sprays, paints, etc!!  You know all those things that stain your finger tips!!  I decided to use Pearl Ex!!  I stamped my vintage car in Versa Mark and then using a paint brush, brushed the Sapphire Blue powder over it.  These powders are really messy!!  I had it all over my finger tips and work space.  I think that is why I rarely use them.  They do have an amazing affect...that pearly shimmer is awesome in real life even if you can't really see it in a photo.

Less Is More // #LIM482 ...An alphabet challenge!!  A is for AUTOMOBILE!!  This vintage card from Tim Holtz seemed like the perfect stamp for this challenge!!  And it looks so very cool in this Pearl Ex!!  The photo just does not do it justice, as you can't see the pearly shimmer that it gives.

Just Us Girls // #JUG677 ...A CASE challenge!!  For this challenge we are asked to CASE (copy and share everything) one of the cards created by the design team members.  I picked Elizabeth Stewart's card.  I love the stamped background and the jumbo sentiment along with the smaller sentiment.

Cupcake Inspirations // #CI568 ...A cupcake inspired challenge!!  For this challenge we are creating Mother's Day cards.  I loved the tiny flowers on this cupcake photo and decided to use small flowers on my card.  I picked the Stampin Up's Ring of Nature set for my florals.

Just Add Ink // #JAI650 ...A "Just Add" challenge!!  For this challenge we are "just adding" large letters or numbers.  I decided to use the letters to spell out MOM!!  With Mother's Day right around the corner it seemed fitting.

TGIF Challenges // #tgifc418 ...A "Special Lady" challenge!!  A card made for your mom or some other special lady in your life.  I decided to make a card for my mom!!

Shopping Our Stash // #SOS493 ...A "shop your stash" challenge using our sketch!!  I have had this roll of glittery boarder in my stash for years and today I finished it up!!  The flower on this card was stamped and jeweled up for another project that never came together...it has been laying for my work space for weeks.  So my card is definitely a product of "shopping my stash"!!  Now it is your turn...hop on over to our blog where you will find all the details and additional inspiration from our design team.  We can't wait to see what you will find from your stash to create a card with this sketch.

Color Hues // #TCH54 ...A color challenge!!  The color duo for this challenge...Navy & Cream!!  I got an idea and started stenciling my bricks in navy when I realized I had stenciled on a white base!!  Ooops...that led to card #2!!  Started over on a cream base and layered up floral dies in cream and navy!!

Global Design Project // #GDP372 ...A CASE challenge!!  This week we are CASEing a card by Kayla McCreadie.  My inspiration...the collage of flowers in red & green & a scripted sentiment.

Once Upon A Time Challenge // #OUAT5 ...A book challenge!!  The book that we are using for our inspiration for this challenge is The Legend of the Poinsettia by Tomie dePaola.  So...I used the poinsettia stamp from Stampin Up's Ringed With Nature set.

CAS Colours & Sketches // #496 ...A color challenge!!  Soft Succulent, Early Espresso & Old Olive are the colors called for in this week's challenge!!  A wintry masculine birthday card is my take on this challenge!

Fusion Challenge // 11.10.22 ...A fusion challenge!! Use the photo or the sketch or fuse them together and create a FUSION!!  I used both...the houses inspired me along with the colors & the sketch was my starting point.  

Thanks to both challenge blogs for giving great inspiration for creating the needed birthday cards.  My daughter asked me to bring a stash of birthday cards for her when we visit over Thanksgiving...so birthday cards are on my radar!!
