Twofer One

 Set of cards inspired by several challenges...

TGIF Challenges // #tgifc438 ...A "what would you do" challenge!!  For this WWYD challenge the question is...What would you do with one card, two ways??  I used the same sketch, the same dies but changed the sentiment and made one of them CAS.  Since this die cuts both layers at a time it works get for a "twofer one" challenge.  The color layers are just flipped.

Less Is More // #LIM492 ...An alphabet challenge!!  C is for Celebrate!!  This challenge also wants to see how we can get MORE with LESS.  So I kept the "celebrate" card CAS...Clean And Simple // Less Is More!!

Inspire.Create.Challenge // #ICC151 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch worked perfectly for this "twofer one" challenge from TGIF.  I was able to use the same sketch for both cards and keep on of them clean and simple for the LIM challenge.

Addicted to CAS // #246 ...A code word challenge!!  MUSHROOM!!  That is the code word for their current challenge!!  Since the "celebrate" card was a CAS card and included a mushroom it is perfect for a second entry into this challenge.

Inspire.Create.Challenge // #ICC150 ...A CASE challenge!!  For this challenge we are CASEing a card created by Hannah McCurley.   (CASEing...Copy And Selectively Edit)  My inspiration from her card was the sketch...the stamped background and the circle with a sentiment in the corner.  Thanks, Hannah for the inspiration.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge // #AHSC533 ...A sketch challenge!!  What a fun sketch with so many pieces and parts!!  Flip flops instead of popsicles...both summery fun...right?!?

Color Throwdown // #ctd751 ...A color challenge!!  Aqua, kraft, cream and gold...for me it is a beachy combination.  Made me want to put my toes in the sand.

Just Us Girls // #JUG687 ...A word challenge!!  SEASHELLS!!  I used the seashells from Stampin Up's Beachy Little Christmas.  Let's kick off our flip flops and go shelling!!

2 challenges inspired today's card...

Try Stampin On Tuesday // #TSOT611 ...A sketch challenge!!  TSOS always gives us an optional twist as well...this time the twist is to use a Summer theme.  This flip flop die from Spellbinders is perfect for a summer themed card.

TGIF Challenges // #tgifc425 ...A technique challenge!!  Make a card that flips...inspired by flip flops!!  I doubled up and included both a flipping element and a pair of flip flops.  Underneath my "flip" you will find the sentiment "love you to the beach and back" from Stampin Up's Friends Are Like Seashells set.

Update:  Donna Sholtz commented on this card and suggested that I also share it over at the Double Trouble challenge blog.  So, I went and checked it out...this card does fit Thing 1 (Summer's Day) and Thing 3 (flip-flops) portions of the challenge.  Thanks, Donna, for the heads up!!

Card #2 inspired by one challenge...

Less Is More // #LIM485 ...A color challenge!!  The color combo for this current challenge is light purple & black.  I used Stampin Up's Hightland Heather card stock, ink and Gorgeous Grape designer papers for my purple portion of the color combo.  For the black element, I used black rhinestones, card stock, and twine.

Wrong Gray....OOPS

 

Today's card was inspired by 2 challenges...

CAS Colours & Sketches // #513 ...A color challenge!!  Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, and Basic Gray!!  This is where I used the wrong gray!!  It wasn't until I have all my flowers cut out and glued together that I realized I had used Smokey Slate instead of Basic Gray...OOPS!!  I just kept at it and used Basic Gray for my sentiment (die cut sentiment using Basic Gray) and trio of embellishments (hand crafted layered dots using Blushing Bride and Basic Gray).  Hoping the challenge police won't boot me out...because it turned out beautiful!!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch // #AHSC529 ...A sketch challenge!!  A perfect sketch for showcasing these beautiful floral dies from Spellbinders.  I love a great sketch...starting point for inspiring a card...and AHSC gives us some great sketch challenges!!

The Paper Players // #PP639 ...A theme challenge!! RAINY DAYS!!  Yep...today has been one of those days!!  But honestly, I am thankful for the rain because our garden needed it.  I love this sentiment from Spellbinders' Cute Boots set..."Rain is just confetti from the sky".

Global Design Project // #GDP393 ...A color challenge!!  Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana, and Smokey Slate.  A fun color combo for a rainy day card.

Time Out Challenges // #TOC238 ...A quote challenge!!  "Dare to love yourself as if you were a rainbow with gold at both ends" -Aberjhani.  Confetti, rainbows, spring time showers, and an inner love...YES!!
