New Challenge @ Shopping Our Stash

 Today begins a new challenge...

Shopping Our Stash // #SOS479 ...A technique challenge!!  Hey (h)Ombre!!   We want you to shop your stash and create a card that includes an ombre...create it with ink, use papers, or watercolors.  For my card I pulled two inks from my stash, Pacific Point & Night of Navy, along with my brayer and created my own ombre.  Some of the other design team members used papers and paint chips...so hop on over to our blog and pick up some inspiration and then play along!!  We can't wait to see how you shop your stash and your creative take on our new challenge that begins today.

Two other challenges also inspired today's card...

Just Add Ink // #JAI620 ...An inspiration challenge!!  My inspiration from the photo was the flowers and the blue background.

CASology Challenge // #407 ...A cue card challenge!!  The cue card for this challenge was HAPPY!!  This "happy" die that is retired from Stampin Up is perfect for this cue card challenge!!

CASology // #407 ...A cue card challenge!!  The cue card for this current challenge is HAPPY!!  Be Happy or Bee Happy!!  Either way today is a good day to choose happiness!!

Just Us Girls // #JUG649 ...A trend challenge!!  The trend that is being spotlighted this week...REPETITION!!  I repeated the designer paper hexagons and the bees!!

Happy Monday!!

Card #1 inspired by 4 challenges...

Color Throwdown // #ctd704 ...A color challenge!!  The color combo for this week...black, brown, green, and white!  Makes for a woodsy theme in my mind.

Freshly Made Sketches // #FMS547 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch was great for showcasing some new designer paper I received in the mail.

Paper Craft Crew // #PCC481 ...A theme challenge!!  Forest Fantasy!!  Don't you just love it when you are walking in the forest and come upon a beautiful cluster of mushrooms!?!

The Paper Players // #PP603 ...A theme challenge!!  Happy Birthday!!  I realize that the only thing on this card that says birthday is the sentiment...might not be a good representation of the theme!!  A card with balloons, cake, or presents might have been better!!

Card #2 was inspired by 4 challenges...

Hand Stamped Sentiments // #HSS394 ...An inspiration challenge!!  I was inspired by the strings of lights!!  I love Christmas lights!!

CASology // #406 ...A cue card challenge!! SAND is the cue card for this challenge!!  Where will you find a Christmas palm?? In the sand!!

Addicted to CAS // #226 ...A code word challenge!!  The code word for this current challenge is TROPICAL!!  I went with a tropical Christmas theme.

Retro Rubber Challenge // #rrcb188 ...An anything goes challenge!! With all the Christmas in July challenges last month I got on a Christmas kick.  As always with this retro challenge the stamp used needs to be over a year old.  This Christmas palm from Stampin Up's Beachy Little Christmas came out in 2017.

The Paper Players // #PP593 ...A game board challenge!!  My winning 3 in a row on this tic-tac-toe board run down the center with these elements: embossing, floral, and rhinestones.

CASology #402 // Retro Rubber Challenge #180

 2 challenges...

1st challenge...

CASology // #402 ...A cue card challenge!!  The cue card for this current challenge is FLUFFY!!  I got asked to make a birthday card with a puppy theme.  It was ordered with the intent of the puppy giving it to his owner.  After seeing a picture of the puppy this is what I made for her.

2nd challenge...

Retro Rubber Challenge // #rrcb180 ...A sketch challenge!!  For this challenge we are also asked to use stamps that are over a year old.  I used two different sets from Stampin Up for my sentiments...Good Greetings from 2014 and Sheltering Tree from 2015.  The designer papers used for this challenge along with the butterfly punch are also very retro and have been retired for several years.

I cut 3 pieces of designer paper to 4 x 5.25 and then cut my triangles out of each one  which made for 3 cards.  I didn't want to add any more scraps to my pile so I decided to go ahead and use the top portions right away which created an additional 3 cards.  6 cards later I have used up all the scrap pieces and have additional cards for my stash!!  Win!!
