New Challenge @ Shopping Our Stash #SOS509

 

Today begins a new challenge at...

Shopping Our Stash // #SOS509 ...A "shop your stash challenge" with an embossing theme!!  Embossing...it can be dry embossing, embossing with a folder, or heat embossing.  You pick!!  If you are feeling adventuresome use multiple types of embossing on your card.  That is what I did!!  I used an embossing folder for my background and I used heat embossing for my sentiment.  How did I shop my stash...these corn stalk dies get forgotten about about and haven't been used in forever!!

Just Add Ink // JAI677 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch is perfect for pairing up a sentiment panel along with a scene panel.  I used a set of rectangles instead of squares...I hope that is okay!!

FarmQuest Challenges // #FQCB39 ...A theme challenge!! CORN!!  I dug out these corn stalk dies that have been retired from Stampin Up.  They were part of the Hey, Chic bundle.  I got a little punny with my sentiment...I am guessing this sentiment usually gets paired up with flowers being picked but decided it would work with corn cobs today!??!  I have a sweet "farmer's wife" friend who will appreciate the sentiment being used this way!!

The Paper Players // #PP665 ...A theme challenge!!  "Let's Give Thanks" is the theme for this challenge!!  Let's give thanks for those friends me have and make a card and let them know we are thankful for them.  It takes a village and we need to be letting our "village" know that we are thankful for them.

Inspired By Challenge // #IB261 ...A photo inspired challenge with an optional sketch.  The inspiration that I drew from the photo...the mustard color (my corn & chicks) and the diamond shapes (my embossed background).  The sketch for this challenge was so similar to the one from JAI that you can say I used that optional element as well.

CAS Colours & Sketches // #524 ...A double challenge!!  A sketch and a color challenge!!  The color combo for the color half of this challenge is Really Rust, Gumball Green, and Hello Honey.  I was trying to make my card from memory without the challenge in front of me and I got the sketch right but I tangled the colors up with my card from yesterday and so there is a little splash of pink...oops!!

Hand Stamped Sentiments // #HSS426 ...A inspiration challenge!!  This collage of fall images inspired me to use this acorn stamp and matching punch...both retired from Stampin Up.

Paper Craft Crew Challenge // #PCC542 ...A theme challenge!!  Give Thanks!!  This sentiment from Stampin Up is perfect for this challenge..."Gather Together & Give Thanks".

Color Throwdown // #ctd767 ...A color challenge!!  I kinda messed up my color challenges and when making my CAS Colours & Sketches card added in pink...I was thinking of yesterday's challenge for CTD.   Yesterday I struggled so much including the pink...I guess I just couldn't get it out of my mind!!  So here is a second card for this current challenge.

Color Throwdown Challenge // #ctd767 ...A color challenge!!  Pink, mustard, rust and green are the colors called for in this current challenge.  I wasn't sure how I felt about the pink portion of this color combo but I ended up loving it!!

Stick It Down Challenge // NOV2023 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch challenge is found on FaceBook and they give both card sketches and scrapbook pages sketches each month.

TicTacToe Challenges // #tttc233 ...A tic-tac-toe game board challenge!!  My winning three in a row are sparkles (pink rhinestones), Holiday sentiment (Hello Winter), and free (pastel colors).

Festive Friday // #FF0146 ...An inspo list challenge!!  This  challenge has given us an inspo list honoring Veteran's Day, and we are to use at least 3 of the 10 items on this list.  For my card I used several...sympathy, poppies, red, black, and buttons.  

Freshly Made Sketches // #FMS610 ...A sketch challenge!!  For the trio of lines I used black ribbon.  The perfect anchor for my poppies, buttons, and black pearls.

The Paper Players // #PP664 ...A tic-tac-toe game board challenge!!  My winning three in a row on this game board: embossing (houndstooth embossing folder), die cut (sentiment piece), and plaid (houndstooth is my plaid pattern).

Try Stampin On Tuesday // #TSOT630 ...A sketch challenge with an optional theme.  The optional theme for this sketch is WARM BEVERAGE.  When it is cold outside, nothing is better than a warm cup of coffee!!

Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge // #CCCC23 ...A year round Christmas + coffee challenge!!  For this current challenge they are adding in HOLLY as a theme.  So now we have...Christmas + Coffee + Holly!!

Leaves, Leaves, and More Leaves

3 challenges inspired today's card...

TGIF Challenges // #tgifc444 ...A theme challenge!!  LAYERED LEAVES is the theme for this challenge.  These stitched layered dies from Spellbinders were perfect for this challenge.  The dies themselves consist of two layers of paper and a layer of stitching, but I also layered the leaves on squares as well as a layer of embossed leaves.  I think I have the theme completely covered with all the layers I created.

Inspired By Challenges // #IB260 ...A inspiration challenge with an optional sketch!!  I was inspired by the fall theme (but have had my limit of Halloween creations, so...just some falling leaves in a rusty fall color) and the sketch. 

TicTacToe Challenges // #tttc232 ...A game board challenge!!  My winning three in a row on this game board...shaped die (stitched leaves from Spellbinders), rust (Cajun Craze card stock and designer papers from Stampin Up), and leaves (used both dies and embossing folder for leaf theme).
