It is Color Throwdown Time again.....

It is time once again for the Color Throwdown Challenge!! Come on over and play along--we got great colors this week!! Just think of all the beautiful creations you can make using these colors!
I tried out this new little technique using a slot punch and ribbon.....love it!! I will be back after my club with alittle tutorial....just don't want to ruin what I have planned for them. Anyway I used a retired stamp set from Stampin Up for my flower....one of those I just have never been able to part with, and a brand new stamp set from Stampin Up's Sale-A-Bration catalog.....isn't that sentiments just the sweetest!! My base card is So Saffron and I layered my main image panel with Melon Mambo with a Old Olive wainscoating at the bottom. Inking my flower was fun--I used my So Saffron maker and then a paint brush and some Melon Mambo re-inker ink to "touch" up the edges....LOVE how this turned out!! What do you think??

Well, bye-bye for now.....Happy Wednesday everyone!!

Fabulous card,! Love the way you used both colours on the flower (this is one of my favorite flower sets which I'll never part with LOL!). The ribbon treatment is wonderful and the embossed panel a perfect match. Wonderfully done!

I love how this turned out! Love the "wainscoting" you created! But I can't figure out how you used the slot punch so far in on your cardstock??

That ribbon treatment is amazing! I'll have to try that. :)

Thanks for leaving a comment on my CTD card this week.. and yes, those flower petals are squares rounded on 2 opposite corners. Neat huh? I actually saw it on one of Maile Belles' cards. :)

Thanks again for the inspiration!
