Festive Friday Challenges // #FF160 ...An "inspo list" challenge!!  From the inspo list honoring Father's Day choose three out of the 10 elements given.  For today's card, I used a wooden element (the key), masculine colors (shades of blue and black), and car (a Tim Holtz stamp).

Global Design Project // #gdp447 ...A social media challenge that can be found on FaceBook and Instagram.  For this curent challenge we have a theme...TRANSPORTATION.  This antique car was the forerunner of transportation today.

Try A Sketch On Tuesday // #TSOT647 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch was perfect for a Father's Day card.  When I first saw it I thought it had a masculine feel to it...so Father's Day it is!!

Double Trouble // #DT167 ...A "6th Anniversary Raffle" challenge!!  I am grabbing a "Blue Father's Day raffle ticket" with this card.  Thanks, Suzanne for the heads up about adding my card to this raffle drawing!!

The Paper Players // #PP691 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch worked perfectly for starting point of today's card.

Bloom With Hope (2014)

 3 challenges inspired today's card...

Retro Rubber Challenges // #rrcb231 ...A "retro" challenge with a "lavender love" color combo!!  For this challenge we are to use stamps that are over a year old (this Bloom With Hope stamp set from Stampin Up was a hostess set back in 2014) and the colors Gorgeous Grape, Berry Burst, Shaded Spruce, and Fresh Freesia.

CAS Colours & Sketches // #537 ...A sketch challenge that is clean and simple!!  The layers called for in this sketch worked perfectly using designer papers in the colors called for in the above challenge.

Papercraft Challenges // #PC106 ...A theme challenge!!  FLOWER POWER is the theme for this current challenge.  I love this pair of blooms from the Bloom With Hope set.  It is perfect for paper piecing the petals and giving the flower some dimension using foam tape.  My photo doesn't do justice to the 3D petals.

8th Grade Graduation

 4 challenges inspired these gift items...

Never Before Used Schtuff // #NBUS62 ...A "never been used" challenge!!  Theses kraft gift bags (that I filled with UNO cards for my two 1:1 students) and the Dove Chocolates (never made litte graduation caps, but I will do this again!!) have never been used before today.

Colorful Options // MAY2024 ...A monthly color challenge!!  Royal Blue!!  This monthly color is also the school color for the middle school that I work at.  So...I made candy graduation caps for each of the graduating eighth graders and gift bags for the two students that I have been working with specifically. Royal Blue...Go Panthers!!

Addicted to Stamps & More // #ATS&M469 ...An "any occasion" challenge!!  GRADUATION is the occasion that I picked!!  This 8th grade graduation was bittersweet for me.  I have 2 students moving on to high school that I will really miss!!

Double Trouble Challenges // #DTC167 ...A "Thing 1,2,and 3" challenge!!  This is a special challenge for them because they are celebrating an anniversary!!  Thing 1 wants us to pick a raffle ticket that will go into the "brown bag"...check!!  I picked graduation!!  Thing 2 wants us to use a kraft bag...check!! Thing 3 wants use to play along with one of the past partners...check!  I am playing along with Colorful Options for their royal blue challenge!!

New Challenge @ Cardz 4 Guyz #C4G348

 Today begins a new challenge at...

Cardz 4 Guyz // #C4G348 ...A masculine challenge with a theme!!  The theme for this challenge is BEVERAGE!!  My dad is not a drinker of "adult beverages" so I decided to use a "caffeinated" beverage for my Father's Day card.

TicTacToe Challenges // #tttc248 ...A tic-tac-toe game board challenge!!  My winning three in a row run diagonally across the board: masculine (colors and mug), free (torn papers & die), and masculine sentiment (For you, Dad).

Stick It Down Challenges // MAY2024 ...A monthly Face Book sketch challenge!!  This month's sketch challenge was the perfect starting point for today's card.  It uses torn papers and it works great with these two masculine papers I found in my stash.

Just Us Girls // #JUG728 ...A technique challenge!!  Stenciling is the technique being asked for in this current challenge!!  I decided to stencil the two opposing corners as a way of framing my flower.

INKspirational Challenges // #IC316 ...A technique challenge!! Spotlighting is the technique being asked for by the IC design team.  I used Calypso Coral for my two "spotlights" on this floral image.

Papercraft Challenges // #PC106 ...A theme challenge!!  FLOWER POWER is the theme for this current challenge.  I chose to color in my flower with my aqua painter and inks.

New Challenge @ Sunday Stamps #SSC336

 

Today begins a new challenge at...

Sunday Stamps // #SSC336 ...A "get sketchy" Sunday challenge!!  For this current challenge that begins today we have a sketch for you!!  This sketch has so many possibilities!!  It worked perfectly for a new stamp set that I just got from Unity Stamps!!  I just love this little guy who is in desperate need for his cup of joe!! LOL!!

What will you do with this new sketch? Can You Handle The Pressure // #cyhtpMAY25 ...An embossing challenge with optional twist!!  I didn't use the twist today (unless it counts that he has my favorite blueberry flavored coffee in his cup...LOL) but I may just come back with some fruits or veggies and create another card using the twist.  But for now, I am just using an embossing folder that came with my very first embossing machine...you know those small green ones that had flip down sides?!?  This folder is ancient and that machine has long ago bit the dust!!

Never Before Used Schtuff // #NBUS62 ...A "never been used" challenge!!  This is a brand new stamp that I just received from Unity Stamps!!  I love coffee themed stamps so when this one popped up in my news feed I clicked through and ordered it right away...such a fun stamp!!

Freshly Made Sketches // #FMS637 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch with its trio of squares has so many possibilites but I decided to keep it clean and simple!!

Color Throwdown Challenge // #ctd794 ...A color challenge!!  Gray, Olive, and White are the colors given to us for this current challenge!!  I kept today's card very CAS!!  No sentiment even...just simple stamping and fantastic designer papers!!

Global Design Project // #GDP446 ...A "social media" challenge!!  For this current challenge they are offering up a sketch challenge.  I used a tablet of designer paper that I found in a craft clean out...perfect for this sketch!!

Make My Monday // #MMM226 ...A "theme" challenge!!  Dog//Puppy is the theme for this challenge.  I found a left over tablet of designer paper from back in my scrapbooking day (when we had a dog).  It was just what I needed for this challenge since I only have one dog stamp in my stash. Can you believe that...how is that possible with the many stamp sets that I have!??!

Alphabet Challenge // 17MAY2024 ...An alphabet challenge!!  D is for Dancing!!  "Life may not be the party we had hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance."

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge // #AHSC578 ...A sketch challenge!!  I used a square sentiment instead of a long skinny sentiment...I hope that is okay!?!

Color Hues // #TCH87 ...A color challenge!!  Aqua & Coral are the colors called for in this current challenge!!  I found some aqua striped paper in my stash that was perfect for playing with this color combo.

Update: This card was a "top three" winner over at the Alphabet Challenge!!  Thanks to the design team for the shout out on this D is for Dance card.  It was a fun card to make...I just love paper piecing!!
