New Challenge @ Sunday Stamps #SSC315

 

Card #1 is for the new challenge at...

Sunday Stamps // #SSC315 ...A color palette challenge!!  From this photo inspired color palette of 5 colors, use at least 3 of the colors to create a card.  These colorful dinghies that are floating together in water had me reaching for Stampin Up's By the Dock bundle so that I too to use a dinghy.  I ended up using all 5 colors in my scene but you only need to use 3 of them.  I can't wait to see how this photo and color palette inspire you.  Hop on over to our blog, gather up some inspiration from the rest of the design team, and then join the fun and play along with us.

The Paper Players // #PP652 ...A theme challenge!!  The theme for their challenge that started today is "hot fun in the summertime".  A dinghy out on the water is some true summertime fun and since you are moving slower than a motor boat it will be HOT!!

Hand Stamped Sentiments // #HSS419 ...A sketch challenge!!  I love this corner sketch.  A great sketch for using up more of my designer papers.  

Once Upon A Time Challenge // #OUAT13 ...A book challenge!!  Use the book's cover or story to inspire your card.  The book that we are given for inspiration this month is...It Feels Good To Be Yourself by Theresa Thorn.  The colors and florals on the cover were my inspiration.  I also picked a sentiment that I thought matched the theme of this book.

Update:  How exciting to see that this card was chosen as a winner over at the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge!  Thanks to the design team members for the shout out on my card!

Card #3 inspired by 2 challenges...

Color Throwdown Challenges // #ctd754 ...A color challenge!!  The colors for this current challenge...green, kraft, and white.  I used a used a kraft based card & ink, Whisper White card stock, and Pear Pizzazz ink & cardstock.

Paper Craft Crew Challenge // #PCC529 ...A tic-tac-toe challenge.  My winning three in a row on this game board: watercolor, markers, ribbon.  Thanks for a fun game board to inspire our creativity.

Thursday, Toads & A Toadstool

 

3 challenges inspired today's 1st card...

Festive Friday // #FF0136 ...An inspo challenge!!  For each challenge the team gives us a list of 10 inspo words, from the list of ten we are suppose to use 3 of those words as inspiration for our card.  This current list of inspo words is in honor of International Fairy Day and the three words I  used to inspire my card are pink, toadstool (oh and I included 2 toads), and vellum.

TGIF Challenges // #tgif424 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch worked perfectly for creating my little toadstool scene for the Festive Friday challenge.  I used a toadstool instead of a heart.

Retro Rubber Challenge // #rrcb208 ...A color challenge using retro stamps!!  That means the stamps need to be over 1 year old.  I used Stampin Up's By the Dock stamp set and dies.  This set came out in 2020.  As far as the colors go...I used Wild Wasabi, Petal Pink, and kraft for my brown.

Today's 2nd card was inspired by two challenges...

Colorful Options // June 2023 ...A color challenge!!  PEACH is the color for this month's challenge!  

Sketch Saturday // #SS727 ...A sketch challenge!!  How fun...a torn notebook top...reminder that I have a punch that does this.  Mind you, it was completely covered in dust...a sign that I have not used it in a VERY long time!!  Thanks for the inspiration!

New Challenge Begins Today @ Cardz 4 Guyz

Today begins a new challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz!! #C4G297

On the Water #C4G297

We hope you will join the fun and play along with our new challenge.  For this current challenge we want you to make a masculine card that showcases this theme...ON THE WATER.

For my card I used Stampin Up's dies and stamps from 3 sets...By the Dock, Best Catch and Waterfront.  All of these sets work great for creating a masculine card.  I made this one for my Dad for Father's Day.  I can't wait to see what you create for this challenge. 

My card was also inspired by another challenge...

Tic Tac Toe Challenges // #tttc163 ...A game board challenge!!  My winning three in a row on this game board are...Dad, ribbon, and square card.  I used a piece of burlap ribbon from a floral arrangement I received earlier this year, cut my card base to a 4 x 4 and used a DAD sentiment from Stampin Up's Best Catch set.

Card #2 inspired by 2 challlenges...

Less Is More // LIM465 ...A rainbow challenge!!  ROYGBIV Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet.  It is raining as I post this card and the sun is trying to peek through...that means there is a rainbow somewhere out there!!

Addicted to CAS // #221 ...A code word challenge!!  The code word for this challenge is STRIPES.  The colors of the rainbow make beautiful stripes as a backdrop for my umbrella.

Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge #267 // Time Out Challenge #183

 Two cards....

First Card...
It is time for a new Cardz 4 Guyz challenge.  Our new challenge calls for a masculine "by the water" card.  For my card I am using Stampin Up's By the Dock bundle.  

This card also fits the Time Out challenge.  Their challenge is to be DIFFERENT!!  This card is definitely different for me...I rarely create a scene with my stamping.

Second card...

Inspired By // #IB ...A photo challenge & a sketch challenge!!  I used both the photo and the sketch.  In real life my tribe of girlfriends shows up much better than in this picture...I hate when then happens!!  We all need a girlfriend or two that are with us till the end!

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #408

 This card was created for the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge.  I had my card designed with just the oars but then dropped an ink pad on my card and had to add the boat to cover up my mess!!  I always say there are no mistakes in stamping just reasons for more layers!! :-)

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #062 & Freshly Made Sketches #433

Today I am playing along with the Tic Tac Toe challenge and the sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches.  For this Tic Tac Toe board I am playing along the top row...Pink//Die Cut//Grass.  I am using three of Stampin Up's stamp sets for this card...By the Dock bundle (frog stamp and die), Friend Like You (sentiments and grass), Gorgeous Grunge (pink background).

INKspirational Challenge #208 & Global Design Project #230

The INKspirational word prompt this week was LEAP.  Stampin Up's By the Dock bundle has this cute little leaping frog...perfect for today's card.  Nothing says LEAP like a tree frog...trust me I know!!  Lately every time I open my front door a little tree frog jumps in...oh the joys of spring time in Florida!!  I just realized that this card also works perfectly for the "die in lay" challenge from

Card #2 for the Global Design Project...I created this card for my nephews birthday.  I used Stampin Up's Sea of Textures...I just can't get enough of this cutie!!  I know the reality is that an octopus is kind of creepy but this guy....adorable!!

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #531

Mojo Monday had another fun sketch to inspire us.  Julee gives us such fun sketches!!  Y'all should come play along!!  

Here is my take on it, using Stampin Up's By the Dock bundle.  I love this bundle and have enjoyed all the different ways it can be used!!  The little frog from this set is so stinking cute and wish I would have incorporated it into this card...another day!!  

I learned something from my upline this week....Cindy Fodor posted this fun little technique for making the cattail head brown...layer circle of brown cardstock onto your green before cutting with you die.  In case you are a visual learner I have included her photo.
