New Challenge @ Sunday Stamps

Today begins a new challenge at Sunday Stamps...

Sunday Stamps // #SS287 ...A color challenge!!  We would love for you to join the fun and play along with our new color challenge.  Use at least 3 of the 5 colors from this summery palette.  For additional inspiration check out the great cards made by our design team HERE!!

Surf's up!!  I love this summery color combo..I used Stampin Up's Mint Macaroon, Marina Mist, and So Saffron.  I included some sea glass that I picked up at Lake Michigan while visiting our daughter's family over the 4th of July.

This first card was also inspired by a 2nd challenge...

Sketch -n- Scrap // #221 ...A sketch challenge!!  I love combining color challenges with sketch challenges...they are a great combination.

Card #2 inspired by 2 challenges...

CAS Colours & Sketches // #477 ...A color challenge!!  Night of Navy, Gold, and Merry Melot!!  I still have not mastered a way of photographing metallic card stock...any pointers??

As You See It // #AYSI278 ...A sketch challenge!!  A couple of days ago I used this sketch but left out the diagonal layer...so...here is my "take 2"!!

  4. Shiny metallics *are* hard to photograph - I always play with different camera angles and lighting angles to try to get a good picture. I really like the dark red flowers against the gold on your card! Thanks for sharing your card with us at CC&S.

  5. Now that is one stylish creation, DJ! I love those rich colours (I don't think I'll get to play with them myself, but was very tempted by them) and you've made great use of them. Using the circles as backdrops for the gorgeous die cut flowers was a wonderful idea. Thanks for joining us again at As You See it.

  8. What a fabulous card using both our CAS C&S colours and our sketch over at As You See It this week DJ - those gold circles really pack a punch! Metallics are definitely tricky to photograph - I find natural light helps and angling your card can also be useful.

  12. Hi DJ! Wow - this card is really striking! It took a minute to figure out the palm trees and I do adore a bit of mystery with a card! The colors really work with this sketch - that gold is perfect to showcase the palms! Thanks for joining us at As You See It!
