Smile!! Try really had today to smile, and make someone else smile!! You will be amazed at how good it makes you feel!! I am saying this to myself as well--it is a great reminder on another rainy, dreary day!!

I paper pieced my tree and added 12 brads--yay I know that is alot for such a small card!! It did make it really cute though!! I finished it off with some ribbon and some hardware. I love this type of card--thanks to va.sunshine for the inspiration. I have seen several of these in her SCS gallery and I think they are perfect for gift bags!!

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #103

Finally, tonight I got a chance to stamp alittle--actually I did not do any stamping on this card.....so, what exactly did I do, I got a chance to get my mojo creative juices flowing even if I didn't do any stamping. My card for this sketch was all created using the new Christmas Simply Scrappin Set from Stampin Up. I have a club this weekend and I wanted to make something using this set. I think it turned out pretty good......

I used one of the borders and cut it into 3 short sections to make the background--before I attached them I sponged all the edges. The circle and the holly are all die cut stickers from this same set, along with the DP. I wanted to show how fast a card can be made using these Simply Scrappin sets!! I finished it off by added some choc. chip ribbon.
I think it turned out pretty good for a quick and easy card--the only draw back is that once you use the pieces they are gone--with stamps you don't have to worry about that. For those wanting quick and easy this holiday season this is the way to go!!

I told you that I would take some pictures of my birthday gift from my hubby and I have finally done that. Remember a few post ago I mentioned that I would show it off for you. Well, here it is........My light box!! I just love it!! It makes taking pictures easier and they turn out so much better. Thank you, sweetie!!

Well there you have it!! It takes up a little room but the difference that it makes in the pictures make it all worth while!! Until next time........

New Stampin Up products.....

Today I am using two new products that are now available from Stampin Up! If you love them as much as I do and don't have a demonstrator to order from let me know. Here they are: new ornament punch and Delightful Decorations stamp set!! Here is a very simple card made with one of the ornaments!! The sketch that I used was from today's sketch challenge over at SCS. I kept my card very simple in keeping with the simple sketch--plus today I needed a card tht did not take to much time--another crazy busy day lies ahead!!

I used the Embossing Folder from Stampin Up to create the background. My color combination is Handsome Hunter along with Bravo Burgandy. I hope you like it--thanks for looking!!

All the goodness of life in a cup.....you bet!! As I am posting this card I am enjoying my 2nd cup of coffee!! My card today was created for the color combo challenge over at SCS. We were to use, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo. I pulled out my pack of Razzelberry Lemonade DP and used the pieces that fit this challenge. My images are stamped in Choc. Chip using one of Verve's new stamp sets--Delightful and Delicious. I used Bermuda Bay ribbon and Choc. Pearls to finish it off.

Mojo Monday Challenge.....

This is the sketch for today's Mojo Sketch Challenge. Play along at http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/. Julee has always got a great sketch to get your creative juices flowing. I also used the CAS challenge with this card. We were to remake the card making it a CAS card (clean and simple) I will have to say that for this sketch I like the "dolled" up one much better!! I used Green Galore and Only Orange today--I was feeling alittlt bright and sassy!! I mother was hoping this was a color challenge--cause why else would I put those colors together!! :-)

Today's challenge over at SCS was to make a vintage card. Julie, the challenge hostess, wanted us to even use something that really was old and would fit into the vintage theme. I found an old dresser scarf that I cut the vine needle work out of for my vintage element--sponged it with Choc. Chip ink to give it an even older look. I also used the Mojo Monday sketch for my lay out. Julee (two Julee's today) always does such a good job of stirring up inspiration with her fantastic sketches!! My stamps are from Verve, always like to use them when doing a Mojo challenge, they are from the Because of You set.

I have a fantastic sister that this card would be perfect for!! Right now we are counting the days until we get to see each other. She lives in Florida and I am in Virginia--that is way to far away!! Anyway, Oct 10th will be here before we know it!! YEAH!! Sandi, I really am blessed to call you my SISTER!! Love ya!!

It has been ages.......

It has been ages since I have gotten to be on here!! Being gone this summer for 3 weeks has made it impossible to get back into the normal swing of things, plus my daughter came home from camp with the Swine Flu, and then it was back to school time. Yikes.....and before you know it, it has been over a month since I have been on my blog!! I have missed it and I am looking forward to stamping and blogging once again!!

Here is my card for today's color challenge. I love this color combination--Kraft, Choc. Chip, and Real Red. My Real Red doesn't look to real because I sponged Choc Chip ink all over it. I did alot of sponging on this card, but not alot of stamping. Actually, I didn't do any, all of the images are rub-ons!! Yeah, for rub-ons. The only thing I don't like is that once you use a rub-on it is gone.....but they are so fun and the make great cards and are fantastic for memory albums.

I also was wondering what you think about the photo?? My darling husband got me a photo cube for my birthday with great lights....I love it and I think it makes the cards look alot more real to life. Maybe it is just me because I have a new toy......I will take some pictures and write more about it later!! Bye for now!!
