Atlantic Hearts #451 // Color Throwdown Challenge #673

 2 challenges inspired today's card...

Color Throwdown // #ctd673 ...A color challenge! The color combo for the current challenge...red, pink, mint green.  I used Stampin Up's Real Red, Polished Pink, and Mint Macaroon.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge // #451 ...A sketch challenge!! Another fun sketch...I really liked the split background layer.  It was perfect for this double sided Mint Macaroon envelope paper that I had hidden away.

Verse of the Day:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Time Out #197 // Try Stampin On Tuesday #525

 2 challenges inspired today's card...

Time Out // #197 ...A quote challenge!!  A quote about friends and flowers means you grab some designer papers and your rose die from Stamping Up!!

Try Stampin On Tuesday // #TSOT525 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch was prefect for layering up some gorgeous designer papers and spotlighting a sentiment in the corner of the card.

Time Out #193 // Just Add Ink #565 // Paper Craft Crew #437

 3 challenges inspired today's card...

Time Out // #193 ...A quote challenge!! "A single rose can be my garden and a single friend can be my world" - Leo Buscalia.  The words that inspired me were "single rose" and "friend".

Just Add Ink // #JAI565 ...A color challenge!! Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, and Basic Black were the colors called for in this challenge.  I used 2 designer papers in Pale Papaya, card stock in Polished Pink and Basic Black.  I colored the edges of my Polished Pink rose inserts using the Pale Papaya marker.

Paper Craft Crew // #PCC437 ...A sketch challenge!! This sketch with a single flower as a focal point was the perfect sketch for the quote challenge from Time Out.

 VERSE OF THE DAY

That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty.

Twofer = Three Challenges

The Twofer Challenge equals THREE challenges in two cards...

1.  First, the Twofer Challenge...Flowers...Two different designs for two different occasions using the same stamps, stencils, and/or dies.  The single leaf die from Stampin Up's  Rose Garden seemed perfect for this challenge.  I also used the Sprinkles of Life mini flower stamp and matching punch.

2.  Second the color challenge from Just Us Girls... Green//Yellow//Pink//Orange.  I used Stampin Up's Pumpkin Pie ink//Daffodil Delight ink//Blushing Bride card stock//Garden Green card stock.

3.  Third, the sketch challenge from the Paper Craft Crew!!  Welcome back ladies...I have missed y'all!!!

Addicted to CAS #181 // Global Design Project #235 // INKspirational #210

TEXTURE!! That is the current challenge from Addicted to CAS.  I created a bit of texture using a stencil and some glitter...wish I could have captured it a little better in my photo!!  In real life the glittery background is very raised and the texture definitely pops!!

Today's card was also created with the SPRING theme that two other challenges called for...Global Design Project (#GDP235) and INKspirational.  Nothing says spring like butterflies and new life!!  I thought the color combo kinda shouted out spring as well.

Materials used:  Stamping Up's Butterfly Basics and Rose Garden thinlits, Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral card stock, yellow glitter & stencils

#bethegift challenge:  Give someone the gift of genuinely undivided attention today.  Look in their eyes.  Souls matter.

Just Us Girls Challenge #525

Inlay Die Cuts....that is the challenge from Just Us Girls!!  I love the look this gives but it is very time intensive...especially if you change the colors!!  I used Stampin Up's Rose Garden thinlits for the inlay portion and the verse is from the Rose Wonder stamp set.  I cut out the rose and the leaves in two different colors and then inlaid one color into the other...that is what I meant by time consuming, but I love the stain glass look it creates when using two colors.

#bethegift challenge: Give the gift of service...think of 3 ways you can love others by serving them.
