Freshly Made Sketches #426 & INKspirational #208

A sketch and a theme, these two go hand in hand and work perfectly for creating a card. So....I have combined the sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketch and the theme challenge (of ANIMAL/real or magical) from INKspirational.  


I am using Stampin Up's A Little Wild stamp set and matching dies along with some of their designer paper from Sale-A-Bration and a sentiment from Rose Wonder.  

Just as I picked up my card to photograph it, I smudged the corner....GRRR!! So....the whole background got smudged up!!  I was more fond of the way it looked before but this is how it ended up!!

Freshly Made Sketches #424 & Library Challenge #52

So....the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches was an easy one but the patchwork elephant that I created was NOT!!  I actually had to use a tweezers to get those little hole punch rectangles lined up to make patchwork squares!! Super duper time consuming!!  But...a perfect execution of the Library Challenge!!  The Library Challenge (use the title or the story or the cover for your inspiration) was based on David Mckee's book Elmer.

The only elephant stamp I have it this little guy from Stampin Up's Wild About You bundle.  I glued my little rectangles that I punched out of scrapes//stamped my elephant//cut him out with the matching die.  Sounds easy?? True!!  
...but it was the creating of the patchwork that kicked my butt!!

The Library Challenge #48...Rupert

I created this wintery card for the Library Challenge.  The current Library Challenge is Rupert...an British comic strip character that has been in the newspapers since 1920.  For this card I use Stampin Up's Winter Woods, Wild About You,  and Beautiful Blizzard stamp sets to create my winter wonderland.  I embossed the snowflakes first with clear embossing powder and then stamped my trees and sponged in the rest of my landscape....this technique left the snowflakes without ink color letting them shine through.  Next I layered my little "Rupert" over the wintery scene I had created.  I am very tickled with how it turned out.

3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) gifts rejoicing, wondering, praising...Rejoicing in the health and happiness that have been ours in 2019!!  Wondering if and when heart change will happen in loved ones!!  Praising and worshipping with other believers this morning at church.
