Fusion 9.16.21 // Color Hues #26

2 cards // each inspired by 1 challenge...

Card #1

Fusion // 9.16.21 ...A fusion challenge!! Use either the sketch or the photo...or fuse them together and use both!!  For this card I used both the sketch and the photo.

Card #2

Color Hues // #TCH26 ...A color challenge!!  Pink & Purple are the colors for this current challenge.  For this duo I used Stampin Up's Highland Heather and Blushing Bride.  I am very disappointed with the photo...neither color rings true in this photo maybe if I have time this evening after work I can retake it.

Verse of the Day:

2 Cards // 3 Challenges

Here is my take on the Fusion Challenge.  Each week we are given a sketch and a photo to inspire us.  We can use the sketch or the photo or we can use both....causing a Fusion!!  This week I used both the photo and the sketch.

This card was inspired by two challenges....
Just Us Girls #561...Triangles!!  Of course I thought of Christmas trees!!  I also added in some tiny triangles in my blizzard background!!
Less Is More #432...Blue & Silver!!  Perfect combination for my wintery card!! I used my silver Encore pad and Pacific Point ink & cardstock.

Global Design Project #265 & Paper Craft Crew Challenge #400

Today's card was inspired by 2 challenges...

Global Design Project
...#GDP265 // The current challenge is a color challenge.  Smokey Slate, Coastal Cabana and "Your Pick".  I added in Bermuda Bay.  I picked this color because it is a darker version of Coastal Cabana and gave my card the monochromatic element called for in the next challenge that inspired my card.

Paper Craft Crew Challenge...#PCC400 // The crew challenged us with a Tic Tac Toe game board.  My winning 3 in a row runs across the middle of the board...Monochromatic//Seasonal//Sympathy.  I am not sure that I have ever made a seasonal sympathy card but I was intrigued by the idea and could pass up the challenge!!

Two Cards for 3 Challenges

This first card was inspired by 2 challenges.  A sketch challenge from Fab Friday and a theme challenge from TGIF #TGIFC286.  The sketch challenge was perfect for incorporating the theme challenge.  I used some embossed wood grain card stock that I had hidden away along with some "newsprint" paper that I crumbled up to give my card a true "Farmers Market" feel!!

My second card was created for the sketch challenge from Just Add Ink.  This sketch made me think of snowflakes...not sure why?!?  Maybe it was the scroll work called up at the top of the sketch...made me think of the flurry swirls from Stampin Up's Beautiful Blizzard set.

Snowflakes & Crystals make for a Winter Wonderland!!

So that I can make several deadlines, I am posting 3 cards today.....

Card #1 for Handstamped Sentiments challenge #331 to create a magical wintery card.  I used Stampin Up's Beautiful Blizzard stamp set...I think the little swirls give such a magical feel!!

Card #2 for the Global Design Project color challenge #225...use Flirty Flamingo, Real Red & Whisper White.  Stampin Up's Beautiful Blizzard was perfect for this non traditional snowflake color card...actually snowflakes don't really have a color right?!  I added some "crystals" so it works for the CASology CRYSTAL challenge as well.

Card #3 for the CASology challenge #360...CRYSTAL!  I don't have any crystal stamps so I decided to crystalize my snowflake for this challenge.  I am using a felt snowflakes and coated it with some chunky glitter to create crystals...the photo does not do it justice!!

#bethegift challenge:  Invite someone over this month...get it on the calendar! Smile!

"Less Is More" Challenge #411

The current challenge from the "Less Is More" team is to create a single layer card that is off center.  I decided that a large sentiment would work great for this challenge and chose one from my stash of Verve stamps (kinda sad they are no longer in business).  I stamped is over the background stamp from Stampin Up's Beautiful Blizzard stamp sent and finished it off with stars stamped around it it.  The cloudy background represents the "mountain" and the stars represent our "faith".

The Library Challenge #48...Rupert

Rupert Bear Annual 1965 - I had this one....my Nan used to buy me one every Christmas (right up until I was 35!!)I created this wintery card for the Library Challenge.  The current Library Challenge is Rupert...an British comic strip character that has been in the newspapers since 1920.  For this card I use Stampin Up's Winter Woods, Wild About You,  and Beautiful Blizzard stamp sets to create my winter wonderland.  I embossed the snowflakes first with clear embossing powder and then stamped my trees and sponged in the rest of my landscape....this technique left the snowflakes without ink color letting them shine through.  Next I layered my little "Rupert" over the wintery scene I had created.  I am very tickled with how it turned out.

Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) gifts rejoicing, wondering, praising...Rejoicing in the health and happiness that have been ours in 2019!!  Wondering if and when heart change will happen in loved ones!!  Praising and worshipping with other believers this morning at church.

Paper Craft Crew Challenge #358

Two Layered Rectangles with two off-set layered strips and an element where the strips intersect.

Another snowflake card created with Stampin Up's Beautiful Blizzard stamp set and matching dies.  This time I used Paper Craft Crew's sketch as my inspiration.  I'm loving the Soft Sky & Night of Navy color combo....very wintery!!

Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) a gift made, shared, passed on...Just this weekend a friend in VA sent me a picture of the glass ball ornament (filled with sand and mini shells from our favorite beach here in FL) that I made for her several years ago, she was decorating her tree and thinking of me!!  Shared...quiet time and coffee with my hubby each morning!!  Passed on...my love for hosting...it is so fun to here my daughter picking up this gift!!

Freshly Made Sketches #411

The Freshly Made Sketches team had a super fun sketch this week.  Here is my take on it using Stampin Up's Beautiful Blizzard stamp set and matching die.

Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts laughter...Laughter truly is the best medicine!!  Just ask our friends we sat with today in the ER awaiting test results!?! Or the over worked mom of a toddler that just made her laugh!?! Or best friends to are sharing a private joke!?!  I always say...it is better to laugh then to cry!!
