This first card was inspired by 2 challenges. A sketch challenge from Fab Friday and a theme challenge from TGIF #TGIFC286. The sketch challenge was perfect for incorporating the theme challenge. I used some embossed wood grain card stock that I had hidden away along with some "newsprint" paper that I crumbled up to give my card a true "Farmers Market" feel!!
Just Add Ink. This sketch made me think of snowflakes...not sure why?!? Maybe it was the scroll work called up at the top of the sketch...made me think of the flurry swirls from Stampin Up's Beautiful Blizzard set.
I like your mix of elements for the newsprint card. The fun swirl paired with the vintage and distress DSP is a lovely pairing! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!ReplyDelete

Oo, love this DJ - that background print is perfect for the specialty papers you've chosen, and the big swirl is totally swoon-worthy! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!ReplyDelete
Deb I can totally see the sketch inspiring snowflakes! I love how you kept all the colour to the oval and accented it with that lovely snowflake accent. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week. KimReplyDelete
