This card was inspired by 3 challenges...
CAS Colours and Sketches...This week we were given a sketch challenge. The "wreath" die from Stampin Up's Birds and Branches was perfect for this sketch.
Paper Craft Crew Challenge...The current challenge is a color challenge. We were suppose to pick 3 of the 4 colors called for. I used Stampin Up's...Calypso Coral//Wild Wasabi//Crushed Curry.
As You See It...Brisk butterflies!! This challenge is a speed challenge. Our cards/projects needed to be created in under 10 mins. This card barely made it!! 9:50...just 10 seconds less than 10 mins!! Inking embossed paper...wiping it off...tearing card stock...die cutting my sentiment...stamping the butterflies and punching them out...adding rhinestones.... It all took longer than I thought it would!!
Update: This card was chosen as a "top pick" for the Paper Craft Crew challenge!! Thanks to the team for the shout out!!
#bethegift challenge: Be inconvenienced in someway for someone today...cause you love as well as you're inconvenienced!!
Very pretty! The dark background lets the wreath and the butterflies pop. Lovely choices of colours too - I miss Wild Wasabi. Thanks for joining us again at As You See It Challenge.ReplyDelete
Lovely card, dj! With all those elements, it's no wonder that it almost took the full 10 minutes, but it was so worth it! They all added important details, layers of loveliness! Thanks for getting your adrenaline pumping with us at As You See It Challenges!ReplyDelete
So pretty...all these elements work together so nicely! I like the darker background, it really adds interest! Thanks for sharing this us at As You See It!ReplyDelete
Great choice DJ - I almost used that die with that sketch too but ended up going in a different direction. Love the spring, fresh colours against the brown - it makes them really stand out and your butterflies are in in the nick of time! Thanks for playing along over at As You See It Challenge this week!ReplyDelete
The combination of wreath and butterflies are always true. Yes, this is really beautiful! Thank you for playing along with CC&S challenge.ReplyDelete
