Retro Rubber Challenge #157

Today's card was inspired by the Retro Rubber Challenge // #rrcb157 ...A sketch challenge!!  Not just a sketch challenge but also a retro challenge...stamps used must be over a year old.  This verse is from Verve stamps a company that is no longer in business...I have had this stamp over 6 years but I am not completely sure when it came out.  But every year around Mother's Day it comes out and gets inked up!!  My lace, dollie, and flower embellishment are retired from Stampin Up...so they are retro items as well.

Tic Tac Toe // #tttc111 ...A game board challenge!  My winning three in a row on this board is mother/child image, coloring, and scallops.  This winning three in a row runs left upper corner to  right bottom corner.  I love this little beach scene I was able to create using retired stamps from Stampin Up.  I did a little "masking" to get the mom and her two sons playing in the sand.

TGIF Challenge // #tgifc314 ...A designer take over challenge!! Oh my ombre!!  Can't think of a better way to play along with this challenge than to use Stampin Up's ombre papers!! It is like they were made for this challenge,

Fab Friday Challenge // #212 ...A color challenge!  We were given 4 colors...Old Olive, Soft Seafoam, Terracotta Tile, and Flirty Flamingo.  I decided a water color blend of these colors would be the perfect back drop for these palms.

INKspirational Challenge // #238 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch was perfect for the trio of frogs I had cut out!!

The Paper Players // #PP539 ...A theme challenge!! The theme for this current challenge is all things boy...slugs, snail, puppy dog tails!!  Or toads!! Yes to toads!!

Inspired By // #IB172 ...A photo challenge with the option of a sketch!  I used both the sketch and the photo.  I am loving using this palms from Stampin Up's Timeless Tropical on watercolor paper.

Update:  This card got an HONORABLE MENTION from the Inspired By team!! Thank for the shout out!!  This has got to be one of MY favorites as well and the person that received it loved it too!!

Just Add Ink // #JAI552 ...An inspiration challenge!!  From this inspiration photo, I used the door and the yellow flowers as my inspiration.  Stampin Up's stitched rectangle dies were perfect for my "door" backdrop.

CAS Colours & Sketches // #417 ...A sketch challenge!  I know this sketch is for a CAS challenge and stamping out my own designer paper with these sunflowers doesn't leave alot of white space but it was super simple.  And I just had to use up some of my bright yellow ric rac!
