New Challenge @ Cardz 4 Guyz

 Today begins a new challenge at...

Cardz 4 Guyz // #C4G315 ...A masculine challenge!!  The challenge that begins today is a challenge to create a "valentine for a guy"!!  You know...one your hubby or significant other will appreciate.  For my card, I went with a nautical theme because my hubby loves the water and he is my anchor and I want him to know it!!  Now it is your turn...hop on over to our blog and gather additional inspiration from the rest of the design team, and then play along with us.  We can't wait to see your masculine Valentine's Day cards.

Cupcake Inspirations // #CI562 ...A cupcake inspired challenge!!  Since there was a "guy" cupcake, I thought I should make a guy card!!  Happy Valentine's Day to him!!

INKspirational Challenges // #IC282 ...A mood board challenge!!  Love is in the air...this board is all things Valentines!!  So why not make a valentine for a guy...and that yummy looking coffee in the bottom corner had me thinking of kraft papers!!

As You See It // #AYSI291 ...A color challenge!!  The color combo for this challenge: Polished Pink, Sweet Sorbet, Tahitian Tide, and Night of Navy.  A fun combination!!

Inspired By // #IB223 ...An inspiration challenge with an optional sketch.  I used both the inspiration photo and the sketch for my card.  And I went with a get well theme since I needed a card form my cousin who was in a really bad car accident.

A Christmas Card & A Birthday Card

Jingle Belles // #JB2303 ...A Christmas sticker challenge!!  That is right...create a Christmas card using stickers!!  I don't usually use stickers on cards unless it is called for in a challenge but I should!!  Why? Because I have a TON of them leftover from my scrapbooking days!!  This card along with the other one I made for this challenge allowed me to put a little dent into my stash.

Stuck on You  #JB2303

Inspire.Create.Challenge // #ICC135 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch worked perfect for creating a Christmas cookie wreath.  For the one horizontal layer called for in this sketch, I used a cookie sheet of cookies...it kinda got covered more that I realized and it is hard to see what it is.

Colorful Options // #COFeb2023 ...A color challenge!!  For this challenge we are suppose to use the color pink.  I used both a dark shade and a light shade.

Just Us Girls // #JUG665 ...A color challenge!!  Pink, Brown, and white.  This trio of colors makes for a great card for a little girl.

Just Add Ink // #JAI638 ...A choose two challenge!!  From these three prompts (candle, cake, or celebration)...choose two.  I picked celebrate and cake.

New Challenge @ Sunday Stamps

 Today begins a new challenge at...

Sunday Stamps // #SSC302 ...A sketch challenge!!  We have a new sketch challenge for your today and we would love for you to play along with us.  It is always so fun to see your take on our challenge.  For my card, I replaced the flowers with mushrooms.  This is a new die set for me (from the Tim Holtz collection) and I am having so much fun playing with it.  This sketch has so many great possibilities and I can't wait to see what you create.  Hop on over to our blog to see what the rest of the design team has creates...this is sure to inspire you to play along.

Color Throwdown // #ctd728 ...A color challenge!!  Red, Brown, Green and Pink.  I used this colors to paper piece a sweet Valentine's Day card for a friend to send to her hubby.

Freshly Made Sketch // #FMS571 ...A sketch challenge!!  I let my paper pieced image flow off the panel and a finished the panel off with some twine and a charm.  Romantic don't you think??

Paper Craft Crew // #PCC503 ...A theme challenge!!  Love is in the air, that is the theme for their current challenge!!  I think this card captures that theme perfectly!!

Once Upon a Time // #OUAT7 ...A book challenge!!  The book that is the inspiration for this month's challenge is MY HEART by Corrina Luyken.  I love the misty gray and yellow combination on the cover and through out the pages.

Try Stampin On Tuesday // #TSOT591 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch also had an optional twist of LAYERING!!  So I layered it up...multiple layers on my card as well as layering my image with some paper piecing.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge // #AHSC510 ...A sketch challenge!!  Got a little creative and switch things up a bit...traded the florals for hearts!!  Since I need to make some Valentine's Day cards it was necessary and I love how it turned out.

Hand Stamped Sentiments // #HSS406 ...An inspiration challenge!!  From this inspiration collage, I pulled the theme, the color combo, and the different sized hearts.

Global Design Project // #GDP379 ...A theme challenge!!  Valentine's Day!! It is not very often that you see an actually 14 stamped on a Valentine's Day card but when I saw this challenge I knew I wanted to pull out this retired ticket stamp.

The Paper Players // #PP625 ...A sketch challenge!!  I used Stampin Up's Sweet As a Peach stamp set to create the clusters in the corners.  I love that the sentiment takes center stage in this stamp set.

Color Hues // #TCH57 ...A color challenge!! The duo of colors for this challenge...Coral & Sage!! A perfect combination for using the peach set.

Just Us Girls #664 // Jingle Belles #2303 // CAS Colours & Sketches #503

   1 challenge inspired card #1...

Just Us Girls // #JUG664 ...A CAS challenge with a birthday theme. Birthday cards are fun to make and always needed!!  For today's CAS card I kept lots of white space by limiting my stamping to the bottom corner and no layers except for the sentiment.  I did dress it up just a little with a bit of ultra fine glitter.  I love this technique of sponging around your masked image...great way to add dimension without using layers.  I am not sure what it is called but I have seen it done on several cards out there in blog land and love the look of it.

Jingle Belles // #JB2303 ...A Christmas challenge with a twist!!  The twist for this challenge is to use stickers.  I used 10 "Merry Christmas" sentiments for this twist.

CAS Colours & Sketches ...A double challenge!!  Since this is a fifth week we have been given both a sketch and a color combo.  The color combo for this challenge are three retired colors from Stampin Up...lucky me, I had all three!!  Rose Red, Barely Banana, and Pretty in Pink.
