3 challenges inspired today's card...

Retro Rubber Challenges // #rrcb236 ...A retro challenge with a sketch!!  The sketch calls for a slim line card along with a trio of strung shapes...I used embossed hearts!!  Retro, meaning that we are asked to use stamps that are over a year old.  The sentiment stamp and die on today's card are from Verve stamps (no longer in business) and are about 10 years old.  

Addicted to Stamps & More // #ATS&M474 ...An "any occasion" challenge!!  Any day is a good day to tell someone that they are fantastic!!  So my "any occasion" is an encouragement day, when I let my friend know that I think she is fantastic!!

Just Add Ink // #JAI713 ...A "choose two" challenge!!  For this challenge we are asked to use 2 of the 3 elements given on our card.  The 3 element are heat embossing, dry embossing, and debossing...I used both heat embossing (Melon Mambo embossing powder which is also very retro and no longer available) and dry embossing (script embossing folder).

Today begins a new challenge at...

Cardz 4 Guyz // #C4G353 ...A masculine card challenge with a theme!!  The theme for this new challenge is CAMPING OR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES!!  I picked hiking so that I could new my new dies from InLoveArt.  And because...I just got to enjoy some awesome hiking around Italy with my hubby this summer & have hiking on my mind.

Just Us Girls // #JUG738 ...A color challenge!!  Hot Pink & Orange are the colors called for in their current challenge!!  As soon as I saw this challenge I knew the designer paper I needed to dig out of my stash.  This designer paper from Stampin Up is many many years old but perfect for this color challenge!!

Love Those Pretty Papers Challenge // AUG2024 ...A monthly designer paper challenge!!  This challenge wants to see designer papers as the focal point on our card.  I think I nailed that with these two sided designer papers in orange and pink...a sweet summery color combo!!

Hand Stamped Sentiments // #HSS443 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch was perfect for layering up my designer papers, and it was the foundation for building this card.

New Challenge @ Sunday Stamps #SSC341

 

Today begins a new challenge at...

Sunday Stamps // #SSC341 ...A color palette challenge!!  We have given you a "Beautiful Blooms" color palette with 5 colors...your challenge is to use at least 3 of these 5 colors on your creation.  This color palette offers endless possiblities and we can't wait to see how you use them.  Hop on over to our blog for all the details.  While there you will also find great inspiration from the rest of the design team.  Their cards are sure to spark some creativity for you.

For my take of this "Beautiful Blooms" color palette, I used Stampin Up's Daffodil Delight, Ruby Red, and Bermuda Bay.  I tried my hand at the emboss resist technique.  I wasn't completely happy with how it turned out but found myself in a time crush and had to just go with it.

Can You Handle the Pressure // 27JULY24 ...An embossing challenge with a twist!!  The twist for this current challenge is "things with wings".  I used an embossing folder with a bird and tried the emboss resist technique.  I need some practice using this technique...I'll keep working at it!  They call it a challenge for a reason right!?!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge // #AHSC588 ...A sketch challenge!!  This challenge was the starting point for today's 2nd card.  A building block for this clean and simple card.

CAS on Friday Challenges // #289 ...A clean and simple card with a theme!!  The theme for this current challenge is "two colors".  I picked green and orange for my two colors.

{PIN}spirational Challenges // #316 ...A Pinterest inspired challenge!!  Each month this year, we are given a Pinterest photo that highlights a craft supply.  Die cuts are the craft supply that we are to focus on for the month of August.  Today's card uses 4 dies!!

Freshly Made Sketches // #FMS647 ...A sketch challenge!!  I used ink instead of card stock or designer papers to create the three panels.  A lot of masking to make this happen but I love how it turned out!!

Color Throwdown Challenges // #ctd804 ...A color challenge!!  The trio of colors called for in this current challenge: yellow, orange, and purple.  I used Stampin Up's So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, and Highland Heather.

TicTacToe Challenges // #tttc253 ...A game board challenge!!  My winning three in a row on this tic-tac-toe game board: gift tag (a mini gift tag punch for my thank you sentiment), flowers (both stamped and die cut), and twine (purple hemp twine).

The Paper Players // #PP700 ...A sketch challenge!!  Congrats to the PP team on reaching their 700th challenge!!  What a milestone...here's to many more great challenges!!  I can't say that I have played along with everyone but I have enjoyed most of their challenges!!  

Never Before Used Schtuff // #NBUS65 ...A "never been used" challenge!!  Two of this little chick dies are being used for the very first time today.  I did use the one chick die in the bottom left hand corner on Wednesday's card.
