Color Throwdown Challenge #524

This week's color combo from the Color Throwdown challenge is...green/yellow/black.  I figured that color combo would make a nice sympathy card.  I pulled out some printed vellum and went to work.  Decided that the brusho technique was perfect for creating my yellow backdrop for this card.  Check out the YouTube video below on Brusho Crystals.

Materials used:  Stampin Up's water color brusho crystals...Rose Garden thinlits die...Wild Wasabi card stock...Basic Black yardstick...printed vellum..."with sympathy" sentiment die.

3 Gifts Challenge:  one thing in your bad (lip balm...coconut oil based...love it!!)  one thing in your fridge (my mama's potato salad...yummy) in your heart (Jesus!!)

Mr. Snowman for Inspired By

My Mr. Snowman was created using the Work of Art stamp set from Stampin Up.  I hate that this set has been retired.  I have used it so many different ways...one of my favorites being this snowman!!  The Inspired By challenge photo this week was a snowman.  I right away though of this stamp set.

3 Gifts Challenge

During 2019 I am going to participate in the 3 gifts challenge designed by Ann Voskamp.  I will post each months prompts here and would encourage you to join in this challenge.  I have done this several years in the past...some years journaling, some years posting pictures on Pinterest or Instagram, and other years posting my gifts on FaceBook.  This year I have decided to add my "gifts" to my blog posts.  I'll start with the first day here....3 gifts heard:  I love you!  Rain hitting the window as I fall asleep! Laughter from the two "love birds" on the swing!!
