New Challenge at CAS on Friday #344

 

Today begins a new challenge at...

CAS on Friday // #344 ...A "clean and simple" challenge with a theme!!  The theme for this current challenge is SHADES OF GRAY!!  I used Stampin Up's Smokey Slate and Basic Gray for my take on this challenge.  I decided that shades of gray makes a great masculine card.  I pulled out the retired Guy Greetings stamp set from Stampin Up and got busy using my shades of gray.

We hope you will join the fun and play along with our new challenge.  We can't wait to see all the SHADES OF GRAY that will be turning up in our gallery.

Stencil Fun Challenge // SEPT2026 ...A stencil challenge!!  Their moto..."Crazy is our fame...Stencils are our game"!!  I used a stencil from Erin Lee Creative to frame my circle.

AAA Card Challenge // #324 ...A "clean and simple" challenge with a theme.  The theme for this current challenge is to "FOLLOW MY LEAD"...Helen's lead that is!!  I used her shaded circle, her vintage style image, and sketch!!  

Addicted to CAS // #317 ...A "code word" challenge that is clean and simple!!  The code word for challenge #317 is CIRCLE!!  I used an ink blending technique to create my circle on today's card.

AAA Card Challenge // #324 ...A "clean and simple challenge" with a theme!!  The theme for this current challenge is CASE!!  We are asked to CASE a card that Helen made.  My CASEing includes the color of her circle, a vintage image and the layout!!

Addicted to CAS // #317 ...A clean & simple "code word" challenge!!  CIRCLE is the code word for this current challenge!!  I stenciled a circle in my card's corner and left lots of white space...clean & simple indeed!!

AAA Card Challenge // #323 ...A "clean & simple" challenge with a theme!!  The theme for this current challenge is M is for____.  For me, M is for MUSHROOM!!  I used a Spellbinder's mushroom die on my clean & simple thank you card.

The Paper Players // #PP803 ...A color challenge!!  The colors called for in this current challenge are Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, and Crushed Curry...check!!

Just Add Ink // #JAI794 ...A "just add" challenge!!   For this current challenge we are "just adding" a sketch!!  This sketch worked perfectly for combining today's challenges.

Update: Yippie!!  This card was picked as a winner over at the AAA CAS challenge!!  Thanks to the design team for the shout out on my "M is for Mushroom" card.

Two Card Wednesday

 

Inspired By // #IB403 ...A photo inspired challenge with an optional sketch.  I used both the sketch and the photo to inspire today's card...and I used them on both cards.

AAA Cards // #321 ...A clean and simple "1 + 1" grid challenge!!  I used the "on the farm" (these chicks broke into the farmers stash of ice cream) plus "flowers" (teeny tiny flower embellishments) from the grid.  And I kept card #2 clean and simple with lots of white space.

Allsorts Challenge // #AC856 ...An "anything goes" challenge with an optional twist!!  EMBOSSING is the optional twist for this challenge.  I used embossing on card #1 (Stampin Up's 3D circles folder) as a back drop for my die cut chicks with their ice cream cone. (from In Love Arts).

Inspire.Create.Challenge // #ICC223 ...A theme challenge!!  The theme for this current challenge is USE UP YOUR SCRAPES!!  All of my chicks and ice cream scoops where cut out of card stock in my box of scrapes.  The designer paper in Tempting Turquoise was also from a left over piece of 12x12 sheet.

Paper Players // #PP798 ...A color challenge!!  The color combo for this challenge is teal, aqua, red, and tan.  I used Stampin Up's Real Red, Tip Top Taupe, Bermunda Bay, and Costal Cabana for the challenge combo.

Make My Monday // #MMM284 ...A theme challenge!!  The theme for this current challenge is BOARDWALK//COASTAL PATH...I went with the coastal path for today's card.

Addicted to CAS // #314 ...A "code word" challenge that is clean and simple!!  WATER is the code word for this challenge.  I created water with my torn card stock.

AAA Card Challenge // #320 ...A "clean and simple" challenge with a theme!!  The theme for this current challenge is S is for ___.  On my card S is for STARFISH & SEA!!

Allsorts Challenge // #AC855 ...An "anything goes" challenge with an optional twist!!  The optional twist for this challenge is COLOURS OF SUMMER.  I think these colors along with the sea turtle and shells makes for a great COLOURS OF SUMMER card using Stampin Up's woodgrain papers and their Circle Saying shell stamp image cut apart.

AAA Cards Challenge // #319 ...A "clean & simple" challenge with a theme!!  The theme for this current challenge is S is for____.  For my card S is for seashells & sea turtles.

INKspirational Challenges // #IC373 ...A "visual prompt" challenge!!  My inspiration form the visual prompt...the coloring, the seashells, and the overall beach vibe.

AAA Cards // #318 ...A clean and simple "follow my lead" challenge!!  For this current challenge we are following Marlies.  I used a new embossing folder from Darice and created an embossed strip instead of a black and white strip.

Alphabet Challenge // 26JUN26 ...An ABC challenge!!  E is for embossing.  I embossed a full folder in white and then cut out three of the images and colored them.  I used the left over bit for my side panel and envelope.

Double D Challenges // 1JULY26 ...A "visual prompt" challenge!!  My inspiration from the visual given...the watermelon slices!!  I know they are candy in the photo but fresh works, doesn't it?!?

FarmQuest Challenges // #84 ...A "farm & country" challenge with a theme!!  The theme for this current challenge is FRUIT, GARDEN, or ORCHARD.  I picked the fruit element for today's card.

Never Before Used // #NBUS88 ...

The NBUS blog doesn't give challenges but offers a great place to show off those items that have "never been used"...whether they are brand new or items that you have had for a while but haven't gotten around to using.  Today I am using a brand new embossing folder from Darice that I picked up on my trip to VA at the Green Valley Book Fair.

Addicted to CAS // #311 ...A "code word" challenge!!  The code word challenge for this current challenge is PATTERN!!  I created a background using a repeated splash pattern in three different colors.

AAA Colourful // #29 ...A colour board challenge!!  I love the color board for this current challenge...pastels all blended together!!  I used Stampin Up's Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, and Highland Heather.

Make My Monday // #MMM291 ...A theme challenge!!  The theme for this current challenge is BLEND 2-3 COLORS!!  I blended three colors using a splatter stamp.
