Color Throwdown // #ctd650 ...A color challenge!! Yellow, Gray, and Black was the color combo for this challenge.  Doesn't this color combo make you think of night time?? It did me!!

Time Out // #190 ...A photo challenge!! The stripes and the foliage laying against it inspired today's card.

Cardz 4 Guyz #273 // Fab Friday #215

Time for a new challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz!!  #C4G273  For this new challenge we want you to create a masculine card using dogs or puppies!!  We hope you will join the fun and play along with us!!  We are excited to see what you come up with.   For my card I used dog themed washi tape and layered it on card stock then cut it out using my oval die.  I embellished it with some hemp and doggie enamel dots.  

I am also playing along with the sketch challenge from Fab Friday.  #fabfri215  This was a very simple sketch and worked perfect for my idea of layering up washi tape.

Fab Friday // #FabFri214 ...A color challenge!! The color combo for this challenge is Stampin Up's new In Colors...Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, and Pale Papaya.  I used the mini flower dies from Stampin Up's Sweet As a Peach bundle for my Fresh Freesia and Polished Pink and covered the other three colors using designer papers, layered on a background of Soft Succulent.

Inspired By // #IB176 ...A photo challenge with optional sketch.  I used both the sketch and the photo as inspiration for my card.  This little flowers from Stampin Up's Sweet As a Peach bundle when clustered together look like they could be liliacs...right?

Mother's Day Cards for several Challenges

3 Mothers Day Cards....
 

Tic Tac Toe // #tttc111 ...A game board challenge!  My winning three in a row on this board is mother/child image, coloring, and scallops.  This winning three in a row runs left upper corner to  right bottom corner.  I love this little beach scene I was able to create using retired stamps from Stampin Up.  I did a little "masking" to get the mom and her two sons playing in the sand.

TGIF Challenge // #tgifc314 ...A designer take over challenge!! Oh my ombre!!  Can't think of a better way to play along with this challenge than to use Stampin Up's ombre papers!! It is like they were made for this challenge,

Fab Friday Challenge // #212 ...A color challenge!  We were given 4 colors...Old Olive, Soft Seafoam, Terracotta Tile, and Flirty Flamingo.  I decided a water color blend of these colors would be the perfect back drop for these palms.

Fab Friday // #211 ...A sketch challenge!  I decided to flip this sketch and created horizontal interpretation of it. 

Time Out // #185 ...A photo challenge!  I pulled the brightly colored chair and starfish from this water's edge photo.

Global Design Project // #GDP287 ...A theme challenge! By the sea!! That is the theme for this current challenge.

Two cards...both inspired by 2 challenges...

1st card...

Fab Friday // #210 ...A color challenge!  Perfect color combo for a trendy masculine birthday card.  Mostly die cuts on this card...my only stamping was the lines on the horizontal piece.

Addicted to CAS // #194 ...A code word challenge!  The code word for the current challenge is BIRTHDAY!!  This made for an easy challenge for me because birthday cards seem to be what I make the most.  

 

2nd card...  

Less is More // #LIM439 ...A inking challenge!!  Cover 1/3 of your card with ink while still keeping it a CAS card.  I "masked" a heart shaped image using Stampin Up's retired Work of Art set.  Finished it off with a sentiment and love bird owls from Stampin Up's Have a Hoot bundle.

Color Throwdown // #ctd636 ...A color challenge!! Bright pink, light pink and cream!  I used Stampin Up's Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo, and Very Vanilla. Very Vanilla as my base and for the owls, with a Whisper White background layer...keeping it CAS!!

Freshly Made Sketch // #FMS ...A sketch challenge!  I found this sketch to be challenging even though it was a simple one, but I like how it turned out.

Fab Friday // #210 ...A color challenge!  The color combo for this current challenge is Misty Moonlight, Pear Pizzazz, and Smokey Slate.  Perfect combo for a lighthouse scene using Stampin Up's High Tide stamp set.

Twofer Challenge // #36 ....A two for one challenge! Two different designs for two different occasions using the same stamps, dies or stencils.  For today's card I used the same designer papers!  I hope that counts!

Paper Craft Craft Crew // #PCC418 ...A theme challenge!  The current theme is your favorite critter...I picked birds!!  We have a bird feeder and bath right outside our living room window and I love watching the birds while I drink my coffee each morning.

 

Try Stamping on Tuesday // #TSOT497 ...A sketch challenge!  This sketch challenge was also accompanied with a large sentiment element.  

Fab Friday // #209 ...A sketch challenge!  This simple sketch was perfect for showcasing this gorgeous BoBunny designer paper that I had hidden away in my stash!

Fab Friday // #208 ...A color challenge!  The combo for this challenge is Mellow Moss, Mint Macaroon, Highland Heather, and Calypso Coral.  A perfect celebratory combo for a birthday card.
