Cardz 4 Guyz Starts a New Challenge Today

 

Today begins a new challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz!!  We hope you will join the fun and play along with our "D is for...." challenge.  The "D" I'm using for this challenge is DISTRESSED & DUCK...oh and how about a DUO of pigs!!  I can't wait to see what your "D" is!!  Don't forget this is a guy challenge...so keep your creation masculine!!

Papercraft Challenge // #PC81 ...A theme challenge!!  Farm Animals is the theme for their current challenge.

Retro Rubber Challange // #rrcb181 ...A game board challenge!!  My winning three in a row on this game board are...watercolor (I used watercolor pencils to color my farm animals), dry embossing (this folder is very retro...I think I have had it over 10 years), twine (every barnyard card needs twine).  My sentiment stamp is from the Hey Birthday Chick set that Stamping Up showcased during Sale-A-Bration two years ago.  The barn yard animals I am sure came out over a year ago because I got it on clearance at Hobby Lobby several months ago.

Global Design Project // #GDP328 ...A CASE challenge!! Copy And Selectively Edit...a card by Janneke Dijkstra de Jong.  Her card had so many fantastic elements.  A couple that caught my eye and inspired me card...the off set layering, subtle inking and thread behind the main focal point, scattering of embellishments.

TicTacToe Challenge // #tttc147 ...A game board challenge!!  My winning three in a row run down the right hand side of the board.  They are CAS, word die cut, stencil.  Thanks for another fun game board to get our creative juices flowing.

 

2nd card was inspired by 1 challenge...

Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge // #AHSC458 ...A sketch challenge.  Not sure why but as soon as I saw this sketch I thought of this little birthday chick!!  She seems perfect for the circle element that was called for and the chicken wire die just had to be used!!

CAS Colours & Sketches // #429 ...A color challenge!  The color combo for this challenge is Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green, and Bumblebee.

Try Stampin on Tuesday // #tsot515 ...A bendy card challenge!!  This is my first bendy card!!  It was fun but not sure how often I will attempt one of these...more time consuming than I prefer!!  But then maybe that was just because it was my first one.  We will see.

First Card...

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge // #mojo555 ...A sketch challenge!  This sketch was so fun...I decided it made a great retro vintage style.

Second Card...

Color Throwdown // #ctd634 ...A color challenge!  Greens and gold!!  I embossed all the celebrating chickens in gold embossinng powder and colored all that crazy hair in Granny Apple Green.  The birthday sentiment was cut out of gold metallic paper.  And that is how I used the color combo for this current challenge.

Paper Craft Crew // #PCC418 ...A theme challenge!  The current theme is "critters".  I thinking these cute celebating chicks are perfect for this challenge.

Just Us Girls // #JUG574 ...A word challenge!  It is word week over at Just Us Girls and the word for challenge 574 is...ANIMALS!  Crazy haired chickens count...right?!!?

 Just Add Ink // #543 ...A sketch challenge!!  So many possibilities with this sketch, but so little time (for me that is)!!  Busy week here at Sherbly Pond and I almost missed the linky cut off!  But I love this sketch and I'm glad I got to play along!!

Fab Friday // #208 ...A color challenge!  The combo for this challenge is Mellow Moss, Mint Macaroon, Highland Heather, and Calypso Coral.  A perfect celebratory combo for a birthday card.

Time Out // #182 ...A theme challenge!!  BIRTHDAY!!  It is their 7th birthday over at the Time Out blog and so the celebrating is on!!

Sunday Stamps // #251 ...A color challenge!!  I love the combo of orange & yellow.  For my three colors from this palette, I used Stampin Up's Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, and the retired Barely Banana.  

Time Out Challenge // #163 ...A theme challenge!!  The theme for their current challenge is BIRTHDAY!!  Every birthday needs a cupcake...right?!  I couldn't resist cutting out the little cupcake from Stampin Up's new Hey Birthday Chick bundle. 

Inspired By // #IB163 ...A photo challenge!!  All the celebratory numbers on this photo made me think of my bingo embossing folder.  A bingo game card seemed like the prefect backdrop for this number themed birthday card.

The Spot // #151 ...A slim line card challenge!  I love this size card...the first couple that I made I was a bit intimidated!!  Now I love the extra space I get to work with!!

TGIF Challenge // #tgifc305 ...A photo challenge!!  Their current photo has a celebratory feel to it...a cupcake/ice cream shop what better place to celebrate a birthday!!

The Library Challenge // #77 ...A book challenge!!  That is right...we are given a book to inspire us!!  A book is pulled off the shelf and we are suppose to use the cover, the story, or the title as our inspiration.  For this current challenge the book is, Big Red Bath by Julia Jarman and Adrian Reynolds!

Product Showcase: Stampin Up's Hey Chic, Hey Birthday Chic, and Happy Birthday die.  I also used watercolor pencils to give these cute chic some color!!

INKspirational Challenge // #233 ...A word prompt challenge!! The word for this current challenge is TOWER. Who doesn't think of Eiffel Tower then you say...Tower?!?

Fusion // Rainbow Dress ...A photo and a sketch challenge!!  For this challenge we are either suppose to use the sketch or the photo...or create a Fusion and use them both!!

Just Us Girls // #JUG572 ...A color challenge! Rainbow colors!! That is what they asked for this week!

My second card was created for the Inspired By Challenge ( #IB162 ).  Our challenge this time was to use a quote...I actually had a Winnie the Pooh quote stamp!!  No Winnie the Pooh images stamps but thought the quote paired up perfectly with these two barnyard "love birds"!!
