New Challenge @ Shopping Our Stash #SOS507

 

Today begins a new challenge at...

Shopping Our Stash // #SOS507 ...A "shop your stash" challenge with a Halloween theme!!  Boo to you!!  For our current challenge we want you to make a "Franken-Card"!!  So rummage through your stash and find those Halloween items that you have had packed away since last October.  For my card I pulled out my one and only Halloween set...Stampin Up's Have a Hoot!!  I also used some paper flowers that have been in my stash since we moved to Florida 9 years ago.

Just Add Ink // #JAI673 ...A "choose two" challenge!!  From the 3 elements given, choose two to be included in your card.  The three elements are door, window, and flowers.  I used window and flowers.

TGIF Challenges // #FGIF441 ...A color challenge!!  The color combo for this challenge is Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, and Pumpkin Pie.  A fun color combo for this time of year!

Inspire.Create.Challenge // #ICC153 ...A theme challenge!!  Halloween is the theme for this current challenge.  These cute little owls that have been retried from Stampin Upn are perfect for this theme challenge.

Sketch~N~Scrap // WCMD2022 #5 ...A sketch challenge!!  In honor of World Card Making Day!!  My take ended up being a Christmas card...that tag just had me thinking of Christmas.  I hope that is okay!!

Fall Beach Weekend

I love the beach in the Fall here in Florida...warm sunny days for enjoying the sand and surf, and cool evenings for enjoying a sunset!!  A weekend stay at Seaside is the perfect way to end summer.

Now for my 2 fall cards...

Paper Craft Crew // #PCC487 ...A color challenge!!  Use 2-3 of the five colors given along with a touch of metallic! I used Stampin Up's Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and gold for my touch of metallic.

Freshly Made Sketches // #FMS556 ...A sketch challenge!! A keyhole sketch!!  Perfect for creating a little Fall scene.

Card #2 inspired by 2 challenges...

Try Stampin on Tuesday // #TSOT576 ...A sketch challenge!!  With an optional twist...BIRDS!  Owls count as birds correct?!?

Retro Rubber Challenge // #rrcb192 ...A tic-tac-toe challenge!!  My winning three in a row on this game board: one word (boo), patterned paper (my pattern this time is texture instead of print), and die (Stampin Up's Have a Hoot bundle).  As always with Retro Rubber challenges we need to use stamps that are over a year old...check!!  This bundle from Stampin Up came out in 2020.

New Challenge @ Cardz 4 Guyz & A Spooky CAS Card

 Today begins a new challenge at...

Card #1...

Cardz 4 Guyz // #C4G305 ...A masculine challenge with some distressing!!  Today begins this new challenge and you have 2 weeks to play along.  

I used a sponge to distress the edges of my masculine (since I created this especially for a sweet uncle & used a masculine color scheme...that makes it masculine, right!??!) Christmas card.  What will you do to show distressing?? Torn edges, crackle embossing powder, sanded Core'dinations card stock, or distress ink...the possibilities are endless.  We look forward to seeing your creations!!  So hop on over to the Cardz 4 Guyz blog, gain some inspiration from the rest of the design team and then play along!!

Fusion // #9.15.22 ...A fusion challenge!!  Use the inspiration photo, or the sketch, or FUSE them together and use both.  For my card I used both...from the inspiration photo I pulled the bricks and the evergreen foliage as my inspiration.

INKspirational Challenge // #274 ...A photo challenge!! My inspiration from the photo was the twine dividing the two patterned papers.  I also included writing on the left hand side of my card...to match the writing of the left side of the package in the photo.  Plus Christmas is a season of gift giving, so there is that connection as well.

Inspire.Create.Challenge // #ICC125 ...A theme challenge!!  The theme for this challenge is SPOOKY!!  I love this owl from Stampin Up's retired Have A Hoot set.  Perfect for a spooky little card.

Just Us Girls // #JUG650 ...A color challenge!!  Green, Orange, and Brown are the colors called for in this challenge.  I used Stampin Up's Garden Green, Early Espresso, and Pumpkin Pie.

Just Add Ink // #JAI621 ...A sketch challenge!!  I kept the hexagon shapes called for even if the shape didn't matter.  I kept them small so that it would be a CAS card.  Clean and simple seemed perfect for this "boo to you" card.

Global Design Project // #GDP326 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch was perfect for showcasing Stampin Up's To the Moon stamp set.  The large "moon" stamp was perfect for the sketch.

The Paper Players // #PP574 ...A theme challenge!!  Winter Animals!!  This is also a CAS challenge...so clean and simple it is!!  I almost sat this one out because I just couldn't think of any winter animals in my collection...but then while looking for something else I saw Stampin Up's Have a Hoot set!!  Bingo!!
