Bald is beautiful!! Last night a participated in a shave party in support of my dear friend Donna who is fighting breast cancer...she decided this was the one thing she could control...take it before it takes you and make it a party!! Many miles separate us but our bond of friendship knows no distance!! So this card is in honor of her as she walks this journey...at least she knows that she is not walking this journey alone!! For this card I used the sketch challenge from Fab Friday. Of course it had to be done in pink!!
3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts orange...Satsumas growing on my tree!! Candy Corn mixed with peanuts and Reese pieces!! Sunsets and Sunrises!!
Today's challenge from As You See It was a speed stamping challenge...create a card in under 10 minutes!! This single layer card took just under 7 minutes. Only two ink pads, one set of stamps, one layer of paper, and a trio of rhinestones...quick and simple!! As You See It also gave a inspiration photo to get your creative juices flowing...their "shades of blue" made me think of water, out came my Seaside notions stamp set from Stampin Up.
3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts overjoyed...The bonding that has taken place in our small group!! Enjoying the rain that has fallen over the last couple of days...we so needed it!! Overjoyed that our daughter and husband will get to be here over Thanksgiving!!
I usually use both elements for the Fusion challenge...the sketch and the inspiration picture...but today I just used the sketch. I realized that I am super limited in my pumpkin stamps!! This card was especially made for a dear friend who is fighting cancer!!
3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts on time: His perfect timing in all things, even when we can't see it!! Morning quiet time with my hubby, my coffee, and my Jesus!! Phone calls from my kids...extra special and timed perfectly every time, especially with them living so far away!!
Another fun sketch from the Paper Craft Crew challenge. I'm using the light house (cut out with the matching die) as one of the rectangle layers called for in this sketch. I guess I could have layered it on a rectangle but I really liked the cut out look.
3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts in Christ...Salvation!! Grace!! Unconditional Love!!
The sketch for this week's Mojo Monday challenge was perfect for using up some of my designer papers. That trio of circles was fun to work with!! Thanks for the inspiration, Julee!
3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts accomplished...Unpacked our Suburban with a load of memories!! Pulled off a beautiful wedding for our daughter even though she was hundred of miles away until the day before the wedding!! This weeks pile of laundry!!
Two challenges rolled into one...that is the deal today!! A color challenge from Paper Players and a sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches. While I like how my card turned out in real life, I can't get a good picture of it. I have take 3 photos and changed up the lighting and still my little flowers look black instead of eggplant!! I promise you the small flowers are not black!! This card has not stamping....just die cuts today!!
3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts said: I love you!! I'm sorry!! You are right!! Three short little sentences that when said yield big results!!
My card today is for the current Library Challenge...use the cover, the title, or the story as inspiration for your card. The Librarian's book choice this time is...Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. I don't know anything about the Harry Potter series so I went with the cover and pulled the red and yellow scarf and the backdrop of stars for my inspiration. This cute little snowman and scarf are out of Stampin Up's Snow Place stamp set and I also used the matching dies.
3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts burning: Outdoor fire pits (today is our son's 25th birthday and that was our gift to him) // the never ending burn piles that we are working on to clean up our debris from Hurricane Michael // Charcoal grill...tis the season!!
What a fun sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch this week!! So many possibilities!! I decided that washi take would be perfect for creating this sketch.
3Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts falling...RAIN!! we finally had some yesterday after weeks and weeks without!! In love...continuing to fall in love with my hubby each day, even after 30 years!! Leaves...one of the things I do miss about VA (besides my friends) is the leaves changing colors and falling!!
Today I a playing along with two challenges....the Addicted to CAS challenge and the Hand Stamped Sentiment challenge. The Addicted to CAS code word was PLAID, and the HSSC gave us a fall imagine from which I pulled the sunflowers as my inspiration. Funny thing about today's card....I used the stamped boxes from my daughters wedding as my focal point....we made little goodie boxes for the table settings and stamped them with Stampin Up's Painted Harvest set.
3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts sand...white beach sand that we enjoy here in the Florida panhandle//sandbox for kids...hours of fun//unity vase...two sands melding together...can not be separated!!
The cue card from this week's CASology challenge is...FEATHERS! Out came my feather dies!! Today's card definitely falls into the CAS category...clean and simple!!
3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts read: His word...daily inspiration//my Kindle...evening down time//newsfeed on my phone...keeping up to date, but not alway or should I say not usually a gift!!
Mojo Monday's sketch this week was the inspiration for today's card. I also decided to play with my new stamps from Stampin Up...Seaside Notions!! I got these before Jordan's wedding but just have not had the time to play with them yet. This sketch seemed like the perfect
opportunity!!
You might see a lot of this twine over the next few days...we had a tone of it left over from the wedding decorations. Even thought they were cut and tided pieces, I couldn't just throw them away!! So....be on the look out!!
3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts of change: Empty nest...not all bad!! The landscape...Hurricane Michael forever changed ours!! My attitude...getting rid of stinkin' thinkin'!!
After a very long break from stamping, creating, and blogging...due to my daughter's wedding...I am am back. I am playing along with the Library Challenge. This is one of my favorite challenges...books and reading are another hobby of mine. Their challenge calls for us to create a card using the cover, the story, or the title as your inspiration. The Secret Garden is the book of choice for this challenge. I am using Stampin Up's Friendly Silhouettes die, and Verve's sentiment for today's card.
3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) three gifts prayed for: Beautiful weather for my daughters wedding!! Good results from the doctor!! Protection from the storm...today's 1 year anniversary of Hurricane Michael is a reminder of that answered prayer!!
Update: I was chosen as a Librarian's choice!! Thanks for the honor!!
