TGIF Challenges #318 // Tic Tac Toe Challenge #115

Today's card was inspired by 2 challenges...

TGIF Challenge // #tgifc318 ...A designer take over challenge!  For this current challenge we are to use Stampin Blends.  I used Daffodil Delight and Old Olive blends to create my plaids...both on the background and on the shirt.

Tic Tac Toe Challenge // #tttc115 ...A game board challenge! My winning three in a row line up across the top of the board.  Father image (Stampin Up's A Good Man stamp set), plaid (created my own using blends), and texture (knotted cording and embossed background) are the three elements showcased on my card.

INKspirational Challenge #216 & Paper Players Challenge #497

Today we are road tripping it to VA to take care of a little bit of business so I am posting from my lap top while my hubby drives.  The sun is shining and it looks like it will be a beautiful day....I just wish things were different in our world!!  This crazy Corona Virus keeps us from seeing our friends while in VA and that makes me very sad.  I always say that my card making is my therapy...today I am needing that!!  Today's card was created for the INKspirational challenge whose word prompt was SKETCH.  Stampin Up's A Good Man stamp set was the perfect fit for this prompt.  And since SKETCH was the word prompt it was fitting to also use a sketch challenge.  I am using the sketch from the current Paper Players challenge.

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #061

Tic Tac Toe!!  For this challenge board I am playing down the right side.... Ribbon//Rectangle//Red.  I used some hemp ribbon down the side, focal image is a rectangle, and red cardstock for the embossed panel and paper piecing of his shirt.  Thanks to the Tic Tac Toe team for another fun inspiring game board.  Stamped images are from Stampin Up's A Good Man stamp set.

A good man knows how to relax and find calm!!  This stamp from Stampin Up's A Good Man set is perfect for the CASology challenge this week....CALM!!  

3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts funny...our son--he can make me laugh!! Embarrassing moments from long ago--not funny then but looking back they make us laugh now!!  April Fools jokes between a grandma and her grandson!!

A Good Man Preview

Here is a preview of a great stamp set that will be coming out next week in Stampin Up's new catalog....A Good Man. Masculine cards can be difficult but when you have a great stamp set it sure does help!!  I will say...this is a great stamp set!!  Check it out in the new Stampin Up catalog that begins next week!!  My inspiration for this card was the sketch challenge from As You See It.
