Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge #258 & Sketch Saturday Challenge #636

 2 challenges inspired this card...

Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge #258...Today begins another fun challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz!  We hope you will play along with our new challenge...Thank You//Thanksgiving.  I am sure there are some men in your life that could use a Thank You card...they like to hear affirmation even if they won't admit it!!  So pull out those masculine stamp sets and design a card/project that gives them a shout out!!  Our challenge runs for two weeks.

Sketch Saturday Challenge #636...The Sketch Saturday team has a fun sketch for us this week.  I took this sketch and gave it a masculine feel...changed the bows to knots and picked designer paper that had great masculine colors.

#bethegift challenge:  Take a photo of anything you see that reminds you of someone and sent it their way.  It is a fun way to say "thinking of you"!

Three Challenges Packed Into One Card

Another card inspired by three challenges...

The Paper Players...color challenge with some glitter!  Pretty Peacock designer paper, Blackberry Bliss ink and buttons, and Cajun Craze ink and card stock.  I heat set dazzling diamonds glitter onto my butterfly...sorry that the photo does not show that very well!!

As You See It...recipe challenge! Recipe card...Butterfly (check) // Punch (check) // Happy Birthday (check) // Patterned Papers (check) // Circle (check)

Sketch Saturday...sketch challenge!  This sketch was perfect since it called for a circle.

B is for Baby

Three cards...Three Challenges...One sheet of retired designer papers.  This trio of baby boy cards was created using Stampin Up's new Monogram Messages stamp set.  Card #1 was created for the Sketch Saturday challenges.  Card #2 was created for the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.  Card #3 was created for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  All three challenges were sketch challenges this week.  I love how all three turned out.

Color Throwdown Challenge #600 / Sketch Saturday #616 / Global Design Project #247

A sketch challenge and a color challenge go so well together!!  Today I am pairing up the color challenge from the Color Throwdown team and the sketch challenge from Sketch Saturday.  I love this summery color combo...red, green, and black with a watermelon theme.  I don't have any watermelon stamps so I just created one using my circle dies and punches.  Nothing says summer time like a slice of watermelon so I guess this card is very fitting for the Global Design Project (#GDP247) challenge as well!!

#bethegift challenge:  Text someone before you fall asleep tonight, just to remind them that they are loved!

Update: This card was a Sketch Saturday winner!!  Yahoo!!

Sketch Saturday Challenge #605

Here is my take on the sketch challenge from the Sketch Saturday team.  I figured that Stampin Up's Honey Bee bundle would work perfectly for this challenge...because of the shapes that were called for.  This bundle has become one of my favorites!!

#bethegift challenge:   Resurrect a relationship...reach out with a note or flowers to someone who wouldn't expect it.

Update:  What an honor for this card to be chosen as the challenge winner!!

Sketch Saturday #604 & The Library Challenge #56

Image result for egg drop mini grey

What a fun card this turned out to be!!  Very different from my usual creations.  But between these to challenges it called for something a little out side the box for me!!  The Library Challenge was based on the book Egg Drop by Mini Grey...use the story, the cover, or the title for your inspiration.  And the Sketch Saturday challenge was to "create a scene".....I'd say I have created quite the scene here!!

Materials used:  Stampin Up's Above the Clouds, Waterfront, and Hey, Chick stamp sets...Garden Green, Pool Party, Real Red, Early Espresso, and So Saffron inks...Hot Air Balloon punch that I then altered...black cording.

Update:  What an honor to be a Librarian's Choice!?

Another Sketch Saturday Card & Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #328

Loving this sketch from Sketch Saturday....used it yesterday and again today!!  I decided to make this one for my Christmas stash.  Normally this Tim Holtz sentiment is horizontal but I cut the letters apart to use it vertically.  Makes for a different and fun new look!!  This Christmas joy card also fits the challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments!!
