Try Stampin on Tuesday Challenge #488 & CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #401

 2 challenges inspired today's card...

CAS Colours & Sketches // #401
...A color challenge!! The trio of colors for this challenge...Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, and Cherry Cobbler.  I used Bermuda Bay ink and card stock, Pool Party ink for the balloon, and Cherry Cobbler ribbon and candy dots to embellish my hot air balloon.

Try Stampin on Tuesday // #TSOT488 ...A sketch challenge!! I love the festive pennants in this sketch.  At first glance I was thinking I would make a birthday card but in the end I decided on this sentiment to finish it off..."You're off to great places"!!

Verse of the Day:

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

JOHN 1:14 (ESV)

  1. You’ve done a great job combining the challenges! The colors are perfect for the hot air balloon. Thanks for joining us this week at CC&S!

  2. So fun, DJ! I loved this set, and I love your banners over that nice wide ribbon! Thanks so much for playing at TSOT!

  3. What a great way to combine our colours with the sketch DJ - your hot air balloon looks great against the stripes too. Thanks for joining us and sharing your creation over at CAS Colours & Sketches this week!

  4. Such a fun design with this week's colors! Loving those banners! Thanks so much for playing along with us at the CC&S challenge blog!

  5. Great combination of the challenges. Thanks for playing along with us at CAS Colors & Sketches. Looking forward to seeing your creative projects in the future galleries.

  6. This is a fantastically fun card! Great job combining both challenges. The ribbon behind the balloon is just perfect. This card really makes me happy. Thank you so much for joining us the week at CC&S.

  7. Deb, hot air balloons and pennants just seem to go naturally together, don't they? Love how you incorporated them into your card you shared with us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday! The horizontal lines suggest the flow of wind to keep the balloon moving and the pennants waving - clever! Thank you for sharing your creative talents and your card with us at TSOT!!! -Donna

  8. Fabulous card! I love that you used ribbon for the horizontal stripe - totally works. Love the combination of the pennants and the hot air balloon. Thanks for joining us at Try Stampin' On Tuesday.
