A Good Man Preview

Here is a preview of a great stamp set that will be coming out next week in Stampin Up's new catalog....A Good Man. Masculine cards can be difficult but when you have a great stamp set it sure does help!!  I will say...this is a great stamp set!!  Check it out in the new Stampin Up catalog that begins next week!!  My inspiration for this card was the sketch challenge from As You See It.

Sailing Home Showcase

Here is another card showcasing the new Sailing Home stamp set that will be available next week when the new Stampin Up catalog goes live.  The Mojo Monday sketch challenge was the inspiration for my card.

Above the Clouds

Here is a preview of another new stamp set (Above the Clouds) available next month from Stampin Up's new catalog!!  It can be bought in a bundle with a matching punch.  Yippie!!!  For today's card, I used the sketch challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch as my inspiration.  

3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) a gift at 8am, 12pm, and 8pm...first patient of the day comes in at 8:00--an opportunity to be a blessing//lunch time--I feel very fortunate that I can go home and enjoy lunch with my hubby//the close of the day--time to relax with a book!!

Sunflower Kindness

I just got Stampin Up's Painted Harvest stamp set...loving it!!  My daughter is getting married in September and her flowers/decorations will be sunflowers so I had to get this set and create some party favors.  Until I need to get started on those I am playing with it.  The Inspired By challenge this week was a perfect place to play with it.

Here is my take on the sketch challenge from the  Paper Craft Crew challenge !  The color combo for this card was inspired by the color challenge from Sunday Stamps.  I’m using a new stamp set that will be coming out in Stampin Up’s new catalog this June!!  It is called Sailing home and it has matching dies!!  You know how I I’ve that!!  Be on the lookout!!

Cycling Froggy

The Fusion challenge this week was a playful, fun one!!  I couldn't find my hedgehog stamp (I know I have one somewhere) so I just pulled Stampin Up's foggy set off the shelf.  I feel like I can count using both parts of this challenge...I may not have had a hedgehog on a scooter but I'm thinking a froggy on wheels kinda works!!


3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts flat...Beach blanket, Beach towels, floor of our boat...can you tell what we are doing today!!  Yep...we are taking our boat to the beach with some friends!!  They say it could get close to 100 degrees today...suncreen will be my friend!!

Library Challenge #33

The current Library Challenge is Agatha Christie's book Death on the Nile.  This challenge picks a book and asks us to create a card using one of the following...the cover, the title, or the story.  I'm using the cover.  The only camels I had were these from one of Stampin Up's retired Christmas set.  It works, and it gets me another Christmas card for my stash.

Cheers....Summer is here!!

Cheers....Summer is here!!  Well maybe not on the calendar but graduation at our local high school is tonight so for many that means SUMMER is here!!  That might be while CASology's cue card this week is SUMMER.  Going along with the summer theme...Hand Stamped Sentiments' color challenge is perfect for a summer theme...Costal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape, and Melon Mambo.  Along with these two challenges I am also using the sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches.

Plants....Clean and Simple

Plants...I can't keep them alive but I love them!! So I guess I just stamp them!!  Here is my little teacup of plants for the Paper Players plant challenge.

The Less is More blog gave us the challenge to create a BEVERAGE card.  Coffee is my go to beverage!!  With Jesus in my heart and coffee in my hand, I can conquer great things!!  Well....today at least!!

Color Throwdown...Gray//Green//Aqua

I woke up this morning with creating on my mind so here is what you get...my 5:30 creation!!  It is for the Color Throwdown challenge to use Gray//Green//Aqua.  I decided to use Basic Gray, Tempting Torquoise, and Wild Wasabi from Stampin Up.  This color combo right away had me pulling Stampin Up's Lily Pad Lake stamp set off the shelf again.

Waterfront Birthday

Here is my take on the sketch challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch.  I used the Waterfront stamp set from Stampin Up along with the Stitched Shapes die.  It is a clean and simple card that was created very quickly....now on to another day of play with my mom and sister!!  Yesterday was so much fun being together...Laughter is the best medicine!!  So thankful for this rare weekend together!!

Happiness Always

We have a summer/fall full of weddings this year...including our daughters.  I decided I better get started on making some wedding cards.  I do wish each couple...Happiness Always!!  


This card was inspired by the sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I used Stampin Up's Flourish thinlits die and some retired designer papers. It was also created for the Celebrations challenge from Paper Craft Crew...I think a wedding definitely qualifies as a celebration!!

Fab Friday//You're the Best

Today,  I am playing along with the sketch challenge from Fab Friday.  Stamping Up's Still Night stamp set kinda got put away in my group of Christmas stamps (the sentiments and snowflakes in the set make it more Christmasy) but this Owl makes an excellent masculine card.  Thankful that I ran across it today while looking for something!!

Hoppy Birthday

Here is my take on the sketch challenge from Paper Craft Crew.  I got a bit creative and I am not sure if it is a good representation of the sketch but it was truly my inspiration.  I used Stamping Up's So Hoppy Together stamp set with matching dies.  My sentiment is one of their retired sets...an oldie but goodie!!

3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts)  a gift picked up, put away, put back...my little ones--while they are grown now I sure loved picking them up and hugging them!!  Laundry...nothing like a job complete and put away!!  Wedding dresses put back in their wedding boxes...it sure was fun seeing my daughter try them on mine and my sister's.

My card today was inspired by two challenges.  The color challenge from the Color Throwdown challenge and the sketch challenge from Sunday Stamps.  The color combo this week was...kraft, blue, green, and coral pink.  I used Stampin Up's Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, Calypso Coral, and Crumb Cake.  The Lily Pad Lake stamp set with matching dies from Stampin Up fit perfect for this color combo.

CAS(E) this Sketch has another fun sketch this week.  Here is my take on it.  I decided to use the Animals Outing stamp set from Stampin Up for my card.  I love sets that have matching dies, it makes card making so much easier.

Today's card was created for two challenges...the theme challenge from As You See It (Two...I'm thinking you & me equals two right??) and the Addicted To CAS challenge using the code word CONTRAST (nothing says contrast like black and white, right??). Thanks to these two challenges for the inspiration...I have been lacking it lately!!

Here is my take on the CASology challenge....MOM!  Sunday is Mother's Day!! 3 cheers to all the moms out there!!

I kept my card very simple...CAS...Clean And Simple!  Stenciled the back ground with Peekaboo Peach ink.  Used Peekaboo Peach card stock for my MOM die cuts.  Finished is off with a stamped sentiment.

Just Breathe

CASology's cue card this week is TURQUOISE!  I right away pulling Stampin' Up's Tempting Turquoise ink and card stock off the shelf and started creating.  With sunshine and beach days on my mind I created this card.

I'm getting this posted at the very last minute!!  Have had my card made for several days but post date kinda crept up on me.  The CAS(E) this Sketch challenge had a fun sketch this week...made me think of the water!!  And thinking for the water makes me think of this stamp set that I love from Stampin Up...Sea of Textures.  While the images are awesome, the best part is having matching dies!!

Hand Stamped Hello

Here is a Hand Stamped hello just for you!!  Thank for Hand Stamped Sentiments for the inspiration challenge.  It was just what I needed to get my creative juices flowing today.  I drew my inspiration from the picture in the lower left hand corner.  

Even though this little flower has long been discontinued from Stampin Up, I just love it!!  It is my go to flower when I need a small floral image.
