 Today's card was inspired by 1 challenge...

Just Us Girls // #JUG625 ...A photo challenge!!  My inspiration were the flowers and the birdies.  I was excited for an opportunity to use my birds on a wire embossing folder.  I made a great backdrop from my water colored flowers!

Featured Stamper for Color Throwdown #686

Yippie!!  I got asked to be a featured stamper for the Color Throwdown challenge that starts today!!  #ctd686  Today begins a new challenge using sage green, purple, and cream.  This color combo along with the photo made me think of Stampin Up's Flowering Cactus.  Thanks to the Color Throwdown team for including me as a featured stamper.  We hope you will join the fun and play along with us...come on over!!

This card was also inspired by the sketch challenge from the Try Stampin On Tuesday blog.  Their sketch also called for "something punny".  So I picked the "life can get kinda prickly" sentiment from the Flowering Cactus set.  Thanks to the TSOT team for another fun challenge.  #TSOT548

Tic Tac Toe Challenge // #tttc154

A game board challenge!!  My winning three in a row run diagonally across the card...die cut (the sentiment), free (embossed panel), gold (foil card stock used for sentiment).  This combination made for a great sympathy card that I was needing for a friend

TGIF Challenges // #tgifc361 ...A pop of color challenge!!  Of course whenever you add color to black it pops!!  Plus I added in other bright colors that would catch your eye...yellow desinger papers, a hot pink button, and a stripe of Pacific Point card stock.

Just Add Ink // #596 ...A sketch challenge!!  I have had this trio of stitched rectangles laying on my workspace for weeks...had cut them out but then changed up what I was doing and they have just been laying here unused.  I got all excited when I was this sketch...it is perfect for using them up!!  Thanks for the inspiration!!

Global Design Project // #GDP335 ...A theme challenge!!  RAIN/RAINBOW!!  Last weekend I picked up this adorable Cute Boots from Spellbinders on clearance at Hobby Lobby.  I have been itching to get it inked up and this challenge was perfect for using it.

Paper Craft Crew Challenge // #PCC463 ...A color challenge!!  Use colors of the rainbow either in traditional, pastel, or non traditional.  I went with pastel.

Card #2 was inspired by 1 challenge...

CAS Colours & Sketches // #462 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch called for a slimline card, large sentiment, and 3 images in the corner.  I am still looking for a source for slimline cards and envelopes...anyone have ideas?? Until then I will cut my own.

Fusion // 3.17.22 ...A fusion challenge!!  Use either the sketch or the photo...or fuse them together to create a fusion!!  I used both for this card.

Retro Rubber // #rrcb178 ...An anything goes challenge!!  But...your stamp needs to be over a year old.  I am using one of Stampin Up sets that came out in 2018 called Hand Delivered.

Color Throwdown Challenge // #ctd685 ...A color combo challenge!!  Orange/green/crumb...oh and that carrot photo inspired me!!  Didn't have any carrot stamps or dies so I converted my beet stamp into a carrot by "burrying" it in the dirt!!  My husband the gardener was quick to point out the foliage is "not right" but....

Hand Stamped Sentiments // #HS385 ...An inspiration challenge!!  The collage of photos are all things spring and new growth...prefect for my garden of carrots!!

Addicted to CAS // #216 ...A code word challenge!! WATER is the word for this current challenge.  I think of waves when I think of water...maybe that is because I live in Florida.

Less Is More // #LIM460 ...A recipe challenge!!  Use a bit of bling as an ingredient!!  I picked some blue rhinestones that I had hidden in my stash.

Update:  This card was chosen by the design team over at Addicted to CAS as the CAS Perfectionist!!  Yahoo!!  What an honor!!  Here is what they had to say about this card...."I love all the detail Deb has packed into this small grouping - the textured sea, the way the whale is bursting out of frame, the beautiful blues, and the punny sentiment! Just Us Girls // #JUG624 ...A color challenge!!  This challenge calls for sage, rose, and ivory.  I used two retired Stampin Up colors...Sage Shadow, Regal Rose!!  For the ivory portion I use some creamy embellishments along with Very Vanilla card stock.

TGIF Challenges // #tgifc360 ...A technique challenge!!  Basic card making...ink, papers, and embellishment.  No fancy stuff!!

The Paper Players // #PP583 ...A CAS theme challenge!! BLOOM!!

New Challlenge @ Cardz 4 Guyz // Equinox Seasonal Changes #292

 Today begins a new challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz...

Card #1 was inspired by 3 challenges...

Cardz 4 Guyz // #C4G292 ...A masculine theme challenge!! Equinox Seasonal Changes is the theme for our new challenge.  Need a bit of explaining??  I did!! So I Googled it and found some info that might be helpful in getting you creative juices flowing.  Equinox begins on March 21.  Happens in the spring and the autumn.  During this period day and night have equal hours.  So....I used my sun ray die and Stampin Up's moon stamp from To the Moon

Equinox Seasonal Changes

to create equal parts of my circle.  Added some vellum embossed blooms to represent spring!!  I can't wait to see how you interpret our challenge.  Come join the fun and play along with us.
