New Challenge @ Cardz 4 Guyz #C4G334

 Today begins a new challenge at...

Cardz 4 Guyz // #C4G334 ...A masculine challenge with a CIRCLE card theme!!  My "Hoppy for You" graduation card is an actual circle card made using a stitched circle die and a scallop die.  I paper pieced my frog, layered a stamped & cut out graduation cap, and finished off this studious looking guy with a diploma made with thread and scrap paper.

Made My Monday Challenge // #MMM212 ...A "pun-fun" challenge!!  This little froggy from Stampin Up's So Hoppy Together stamp set is so studious looking with those spectacles that I just had to use him for a graduation card.  And the sentiment is perfect for a "pun-fun" card..."Hoppy for You"!!

Just Us Girls // #JUG703 ...A CAS challenge!!  For this clean and simple challenge they asked us to used the center of the card as the focal point.

The Paper Players // #PP664 ...A tic-tac-toe game board challenge!!  My winning three in a row on this game board...patterned paper, die cuts, and enamal dots.

Inspire.Create.Challenge // #ICC154 ...A CASE challenge!!  For this current challenge we are CASEing a card by Karen Farquhar.  My inspiration from her card...the designer paper on half the card and the hippos!!  While I did not include her fancy fold, I did use the sketch.

Just Add Ink // #JAI676 ...A photo inspired challenge!!  While my card doesn't have the fall theme,  I did use elements from the photo...I used the plaid, the orange, and the cream. 

Make My Monday // #MMM212 ...A "pun-fun" challenge!!  This sentiment fits the pun fun theme!!

Sunday Stamps // #SSC321 ...A color challenge!!  For this current "Autumn's Riches" challenge we want you to use three of the five colors given on this color palette.

Freshly Made Sketches // #FMS609 ...A sketch challenge!!  This fun sketch was perfect for showcasing the color challenge from Sunday Stamps.  I love the extra little "stitching" at the bottom of the sketch...for mine I added an embossed "stitched" piece...a surprise addition of texture!

Paper Craft Crew Challenges // #PCC541 ...A theme challenge!!  Clean and simple is the theme for this challenge!!  Just some fun designer papers, a little bit of ribbon, and one simple stamped sentiment.

Never Before Used Schtuff // #NBUS55 ...A "never been used" challenge!!  This glittery paper was stashed away in a box from our move to Florida 9 years ago.  Never been used until now.  Finding this box was like an early Christmas present.

Retro Rubber Challenges // #rrcb218 ...A retro challenge with a fall color theme.  Use 3 of the five colors pulled from this fall picnic photo...yellow, green, blue, brown, white.  I used yellow, blue, and brown on white card stock.  My scene might not be a fall picnic but I did get the colors covered and I used a Stampin Up stamp set from March 2022.

2 Cards for Hump Day...Happy Wednesday!

Card #1 inspired by 2 challenges...

Less Is More // #LIM494 ...A "one layer" card challenge with a HELLO SUNSHINE theme.  I struggle with single layer cards but I love the sunshine theme, so I made it work.  Not once but twice, this is my second card for this challenge.  Stenciling is a great technique for single layer cards.

Color Hues Challenge // #TCH74 ...A color challenge!!  Yellow & Kraft are the colors called for in this challenge.  Sounds like sunshine and sand to me...right?!?  For my color duo, I used Stampin Up inks...More Mustard & Soft Suede.

Update: This card was chosen as a "top three" by the Less Is More design team.  A big thank you to them for the shout out on my card.

Card #2 inspired by 3 challenges... 

Caffeinated Christmas Challenges // #CCC22 ...A year round Christmas challenge that is all about coffee!!  This challenge has a gnome theme.  I was so excited when I won this gnome dies set from Nancy over at the Just Us Girls challenge blog...knew right away that I wanted to use them for this challenge!!  So...I made this great coffee and gnome card for this challenge but forgot it was a Christmas challenge.  I just had the coffee & gnome theme in my head...oh well that just meant I had to made another gnome and coffee card with a Christmas theme and not a pumpkin latte fall theme.  No worries...more play time with my new dies!!

CAS Colours & Sketch // #523 ...A sketch challenge!!  A slimline sketch chalenge!!  My "white space" on this CAS card is actually green this time.  I had to hold my card to get the lighting right for my sentiment to show up...photographing metallic items is NOT my strong suit!!

Never Before Used Schtuff // #NBUS55 ...A "never been used" challenge!!  Use brand new items that haven't been used yet or those stashed away items that have been forgotten...this challenge wants to see them.  Today, it is a new item that I recently won.  I know I already used parts of this new die set in a fall themed gnome card but today I used several of the dies that didn't get used on that fall card...the pompom on the hat & the snowflakes.  Those 2 dies did not get used on that card so they are my "never been used" items on this card.

New Challenge @ Shopping Our Stash

 

Today begins a new challenge at...

Shopping Our Stash // #SOS508 ...A "use from your stash" challenge!!  For this current challenge we have also given you a color palette to use as your inspiration.  I used some retired Stampin Up inks from my stash...More Mustard, Not Quit Navy.  I also included Garden Green which is a current color in the Stampin Up catalog.

Scrap~N~Sketch // #WCMD2 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch is part of their World Card Making Day challenges.  Each Saturday in October they are giving us a sketch in honor of WCMD.  This is the second sketch and it was perfect for showcasing the colors from Shopping Our Stash's new challenge that begins today.

Today's 2nd card was inspired by 5 challenges...

Alphabet Challenge // #20OCT23 ...An alphabet challenge!!  O is for Owl!!  I embossed an owl on to a piece printed vellum.  I love how this card tuned out.  It was kinda fun to use an owl without it being a halloween card.

Paper Craft Crew // #PCC540 ...A sketch challenge!!  I love the vertical sketch...perfect for showcasing my wintery owl!!

TGIF Challenges // #tgifc443 ...An inspiration challenge!!  The wintery owl scene was our inspiration and I decided that this snowflake printed vellum gave that wintery look!!

As You See It Challenges // #AYSI310 ...A "fill in the blank" challenge!!  My favorite thing to do with vellum is_____!! ...emboss on it and add color with markers by coloring on the back.  My owl is embossed on to a snowflake printed vellum and then I flipped it over an colored him in using Stampin Up markers.

INKspiraitonal Challenges // #IC301 ...A word prompt challenge!! COLD is the prompt for this current challenge!!  A snowflake printed vellum gives a COLD wintery feel to my card!!  This wise old owl is nestled in for for the night.

Update:  This owl card was chosen as the "spotlight winner" over at the Alphabet Challenge.  Thanks to the design team for the shout out on my card.
