I love this sketch...all the layers, the pieces and parts!! Super fun!! Thanks to Paper Craft Crew for the inspiration!! I used Stampin Up's Stitiched Shapes dies and the Sailing home stamp set and matching dies for today's card. This card its also being entered in the Library Challenge for the book, To the Lighthouse by Virginia Wolfe. The sentiment on this card also makes it fits with the Time Out Challenge--use the quote from CS Lewis as your inspiration, "You are never to old to set another goal or dream a new dream".

The Time Out Challenge for the end of the year is to create a card inspired by a quote from CS Lewis. What better place to dream dreams and set goal than by the water?!!? I used a retired stamp set from Stampin Up for my main image and the sentiment is from Verve Stamps.
3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts of Hope...our future and all that it hold//our Salvation//our Heavenly home
I found a new challenge blog with week and decided to play along....The Card Concepts! The challenge with week is to post a favorite card or a picture of your Christmas Tree. I find it hard to pick a favorite card from the year but I did pick one of my favorites from this week. I used Stampin Up's Friend Like You stamp set to create this card.
Here is my take on the sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches. I used Stampin Up's Seaside Notions stamp set and finished it off with a little bit of sponging and embellishment pearls. 3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts humble--The humble beginnings of our King of Kings!! A bowed knee in prayer!! The promise that when we humble ourselves before him, He will lift us up!!
I created this wintery card for the Library Challenge. The current Library Challenge is Rupert...an British comic strip character that has been in the newspapers since 1920. For this card I use Stampin Up's Winter Woods, Wild About You, and Beautiful Blizzard stamp sets to create my winter wonderland. I embossed the snowflakes first with clear embossing powder and then stamped my trees and sponged in the rest of my landscape....this technique left the snowflakes without ink color letting them shine through. Next I layered my little "Rupert" over the wintery scene I had created. I am very tickled with how it turned out.
3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) gifts rejoicing, wondering, praising...Rejoicing in the health and happiness that have been ours in 2019!! Wondering if and when heart change will happen in loved ones!! Praising and worshipping with other believers this morning at church.

I just stumbled across another challenge site, Global Design Project, and thought I would give it a try. The challenge this week, #GDP220, was to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) a card created by Shawn deOliveira. For my take on this card I used Stampin Up's Seaside Notions stamp set. I may not have used birds but the seaside theme is part of God's wonderful & intriguing creation just like birds and flowers are. The color combo that she used also worked well for my Seaside Notions. I embossed my seahorse in silver and used a silver glitter ribbon to tie it all together. Thanks Shawn for the inspiration and to the Global Design team for another fun challenge site!!
3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts of angelic song...Christmas Carols//Concert in the park//preschoolers Christmas program

Today I am playing along with the Sketch Saturday challenge. Such fun inspiration and sketches from this team...yall should come play along!! Stampin Up's Smooth Sailing dies and Sea of Texture dies create such eye catching arrangements. I am loving the Old Olive and Basic Black color combo...great for a sympathy card.

Challenge #219 from Sunday Stamps is a color challenge. We were given 5 color and asked to use at least three of them. I liked this color combo so much that I created two cards...They gave use 5 color and we needed to use at least 3 of them!! Two very different looks but I am happy with how they turned out. Thanks for the inspiration!!

Not sure why but just seemed perfect for these cute little frogs. So...while Inspired By's inspiration photo did not inspire me to make a Christmas card, that trio of hoops did inspire me!!

Perfect sketch challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch for doing a little bit of chalked dry embossing.
