4 challenges inspired today's first card...AAA Birthday Challenge // #87 ...A monthly Birthday challenge with a theme!! The theme for the month of July is FOR THE GIRLS!! Nothing like a girls trip to the beach to celebrate a birthday!! Gotta love an birthday that falls in the summer!!
Hand Stamped Sentiments // #HHS491 ...A sketch challenge!! The sketch was perfect for combining these challenges and creating a beachy birthday card for a friend.
Make My Monday // #MMM291 ...A theme challenge!! The theme for this current challenge is BLEND 2-3 COLORS! I used Stampin Up's Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride, and So Saffron for blending my beachy circle scene.
Inspire.Create.Challenge // #ICC219 ...A color challenge!! The trio of colors called for in this challenge: yellow (So Saffron), pink (Blushing Bride), and orange (Calypso Coral).
Card #2 was inspired by 3 challenges...
Double Trouble // #219 ...A "Thing 1, Thing 2, and Thing 3" challenge!! Thing 1 wants us to follow a "It's Going to be a Long Day" recipe...3 layers (took three layers to make this cozy cup), 2 images (coffee cup & coffee beans), and 1 slimline card ...CHECK!! Thing 2 wants us to use the sketch from Try A Sketch On Tuesday #698...CHECK!! Thing 3 wants us to include glitter...FAIL!! I was glittered out after crafting with my grand-daughter yesterday and was just not up to clean up glitter again today!!
Try A Sketch On Tuesday // #TSOT698 ...A sketch challenge!! These two challenges always partner up. Since this is a planned partnership on their part (not me picking and combining challenges) you always know they work perfectly together!!
Retro Rubber Challenge // #rrcb275 ...A "retro" challenge with a color combo!! Retro meaning use a stamp that is over a year old (Cozy Cup from the Greetery that came out in 2019) and the color combo for this challenge is red, green, blue, and white.

So bright and happy!! Great job with the colors!! Thanks for playing along at Inspire.Create!
ReplyDeleteI like that you turned the sketch sideways to create your card. Love the coffee cup and the background stars are great. I understand the comment on glitter as I often wear it for weeks after using it. I have glitter pens which I find work well for adding glitter without the mess. Thanks for sharing at Double Trouble, Johanna
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that you turned your card into a landscape slimline! Your interpretation of our sketch challenge is spot on. The coffee bean details in your swirl are so much fun. Even without actual glitter, your ink work and stamping give the swirl a beautiful sparkle.
ReplyDeleteYour card is certainly a warm awakening with its sun-kissed colors and cozy coffee vibe. Thank you for using both the DTC 3-2-1 recipe and TSOT sketch in creating a beautiful card.
Wonderfully designed card. Love the coffee theme and L*O*V*E your spray of stars, coffee beans & splatter. Thank you for sharing at Double Trouble.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute cards! I love the softness and how you used the sketch. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble! :)
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love your cards, Deb, and No. 2 is a beautiful interpretation of the sketch. The idea to use a coffee theme is so clever. Thank you for playing along at DTC and TSOT challenges.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors you chose for the color belnding challenge! Thanks for sharing with us at MMM!
